A Kenner man imitating the lyrics of a rap song accidentally shot and killed his friend Thursday night according to police.
Ronnie Webber, 27, was arrested on negligent homicide charges Thursday night.
According to Kenner Police, Weber said he was holding a semiautomatic handgun and listening to a rap song when he imitated the lyrics that called for a gun shot and the weapon went off and hit his friend, Johnathan Beasley, 23, in the chest.
Beasley was taken to Elmwood Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Police said Webber told them he thought the gun wasnt loaded, but he said he didnt check it to make sure.

I can't imagine a 27-year-old man "imitating" a rap song. We played air guitar and pretended we were bands when I was in junior high. No guns involved, either.

I think they have to descirbe him as a "man" purely because he's over 18- surely not because of his actions!

You're right. When you hear Polka you blow your own brains out.
To: Gefreiter
Maybe his defense will be "mental age of 12."
