I gotta agree--NYNY is a horrible song to listen to (regardless of who sings it)...
When I was in Telecommunications class, we used a wide array of music. One of the video announcements used a bunch of popular kids dancing and lip-synching not the Sinatra version (which would have been bad enough in its own right), but a cruddy remake by a punk band.
Allow me to elaborate here and mention that I don't think that morality in this context needs to be "popular". In fact, for it to be accepted by "society" would be very counterproductive. Sort of an "in the world but not of the world" kind of principle..
I've heard a lot of crappy remakes, by punk and other bands.
I was meaning your moniker and haven't read all of the posts yet tonight.
In fact, tonight has been a three eye blink and it's gone sort of thing.
So have I.
Personally, I'd rather listen to the originals--even if they're really hard to find.
(e.g. Lowrider, I shot the Sheriff, etc.)
NY, NY is great, what's wrong with it? Are you kidding me?
My dear, you don't seem to like him that much.
I'm not sure about HitmanLV--
Personally though, it's not that I don't like Sinatra--I just don't care for NYNY...
Well, I am not much of a dancer. but I would love to try a "virtual dance" with you sometime, V!!
It's a rotten song, good only after a NY Yankees victory at the Stadium.
Not if ICU first.
Never been to NY--so I'll have to take your word on that.
Here in Milwaukee, we always have Roll Out The Barrel during the 7th inning stretch...
I don't know why...
I love Sinatra a lot and own many of his recordings. I like mid 1950s-early 1960s Sinatra the best. NY NY makes my ears bleed. Just an awful song and a terrible tune. Just a matter of personal taste, that's all.
It's a better song than 'NY NY,' at least.
G'night all.
My ears are now bleeding. :-)
No problem. I hope you like the song I just posted.
Lol....roll out the (beer) barrel, maybe?
True, true...
LOL!!! That will teach ya!
