Yes, where does he get his energy to develop visionary scholars who probably wouldn't know the first thing about proper Biblical exegesis?
And ask Mr. Chavez in Venezuela what he thinks about Pat's statesman-like qualities. I imagine that he would give him rave reviews!
Surely Pat "He-Man" Robertson wouldn't be hyping this shake to the multiple millions of people, or even the elderly, who watch his show, say, within a given month or so.
Regardless, It seems that it is time for churches to somehow, someway, come together and tell Mr. Robertson that enough is enough.

2000 pounds? Where do you find a bar that can accommodate 44 plates? I have to confess that I've never seen a machine like that at any gym I've been to...
To: Laissez-faire capitalist
Did you know that Pat Robertson, through rigorous training, leg pressed 2,000 pounds? 200 pounds ten times?

Why doesn't Pat just faith in good health? Surely he of all people can do this, right? I thought that televangelists had super-human abilities, and that they didn't need some shake. I guess I was wrong.

I know. This would have to be a record, or very close to it. Looks like a bunch of bull to me.

Where do you find a bar that can accommodate 44 plates? On one brand of leg press I can get 1500 pounds for reps of ten.
I would like to try more, but as you state, the machine will only take so many plates. The gym I was at had four 100 pound plates. The rest of the bar had to be loaded with 45s.
Anyway, I severely doubt Pat Robertson can press 2000 pounds.
To: Mr. Brightside
That's pretty much what I've seen. I lift at a gym with some pretty bad*** dudes, and I've never seen them leg press 2000. If for no other reason than they can't fit the plates on the bar (we have either 4 or 6 100 lb plates as well).

I SERIOUSLY doubt Pat Robertson leg-pressed 2000 lbs....

I thought that televangelists had super-human abilities, and that they didn't need some shake.Where would ever get that idea?
Have you seen any televangelists leap over buildings with a single bound?
Stop a runaway train?
Live to be over 150?
You sound like you have an ax to grind with televangelists

Here is a picture of Ronnie Coleman leg pressing 2300 pounds.

As you state, there a A LOT of plates.
Methinks Pat Robertson is full of it.
To: Mr. Brightside
On the one hand, Coleman looks slightly larger than Robertson. But on the other hand, Coleman may not be taking Robertson's "age-defying protein shake". LOL.
To: NittanyLion
lol
What is with that guy? First the hurricane predictions, then blaming 9-11 on homosexuals, then the fountain of youth shake, now this.

Or maybe, instead, you have a certain affinity for televangelists. Hmmm?
Anyway, one need not have an axe to grind with them, as there are so many late-night talk shows and comedians on television who poke fun of them all the time. The televangelists open their mouths and insert their foots on a regular basis. Nothing wrong with having some good clean fun, here or on the tv.
So, loosen your collar a bit, as it might do you some good!
BTW, have you never heard of the health/wealth proponents who have made claims about 'faithing' in health? If they can do this, then why take some shake? That is why I brought up the them being supposed 'superbeings.'

And who gives a sh*t about what a lunatic like chavez thinks? What about chavez's statesman-like qualities? Chavez has zero. He is an ignorant monkey full of hatred.

I would rather listen to real positive messages(with a grain of salt) than to listen to messages by certain other 'televangelists' , or catholics who think being poor is a blessing of God. You are an ignorant bigot who has an ax to grind. Hmmm?

Cool your jets and settle down before you blow a gasket. And lay off the caffeine a little bit while you are at it. Running your mouth off is not becoming of you.
I have never liked Chavez, but Pat Robertson made some pretty stupid statements concerning Chavez, and yet the site says he travels "the globe as a statesman."
Some statesman.

No I am not an ignorant bigot with an axe to grind, and you shut your mouth you worthless piece of rotten trash. You talk to me like that while I never said anything to you like that in the first place?
Obviously you didn't have a proper upbringing, or you wouldn't just lay into people like this, and it seems likely that your parents stunk at raising you. Hmmm?

True story:
When I was 10, some friends and I went to hang out at the base gym, shoot some hoop, and try to get some exercise.
We hit the weight room and, while they were in another part of the room, I got on the leg press machine and set the bar at the highest weight (I think it was 400 pounds). I sat in the chair and pushed with all my might. Up went the weights--all of them to the top. I was shocked and yelled for my friends to come see me, but they didn't hear.
I let the weights down, pulled them to the machine and said "watch this." Again I pushed with all my might, but the weights didn't budge. Not one inch.
