I'd ask "How was the move," but it looks like I'm at least 24 hours too late!

I actually have everything I could want here...mountains with snow, beaches, desert, pine forests, lakes, metro areas, rural areas, ghost towns, 24 hour shopping, Christmas and summer, what's not to like? No cedar forest solitude in the soft cool misty rain?

No tangy on-shore breezes with the smell of rotting ocean critters in them?

That's OK. We have greenery, here, too, and even a ski resort. And lots of places here have very changeable weather...:o]

It's over, now. At least the first part of it. I'm not going to worry about the rest of it for a while. I'm just going to enjoy my time here with my daughter, and spend the last few weeks with my oldest grandson before he ships out to Boots.
(You could never be "late"...)

Sure! Nevada is full of cedar forests. Remember we have the Sierras to the west of us, if we want bigger, we just have to drive to Kingman and see the beginning of the Rockies.

We have Lake Mead and the COlorado River to the east, and I'm sure there are lots of rotting things in both places. I just don't feel the need to go smell them. ;o]

"And lots of places here have very changeable weather...
Changeable Weather
I like to call her Stormy. Shes changeable you know.
Some days shes as warm as toast, and other times shes snow.
Her ladylike prerogatives will make a fellow dizzy,
And preparing for her visits can also keep you busy.
Beneath a calm serenity, a gale can quickly rise,
And lightning can start flashing from the blueness of her eyes.
She seems to like variety, and has the moods to match,
So if you like things changeable, why, sir youve found a catch.
But be prepared for anything. Surprises are the rule.
Her presence is invigorating, but you must play it cool.
You must always be patient, with your temper on a tether,
And being ever watchful for a change in the whether.

Anna Nicole Smith might be performing there and she is now pregnant.1) She doesn't pay my bills, so I could care less where she performs.
2) I wouldn't walk her across the street to a dog fight, even if I knew she would win.

Checking out a fresh install of Windows Vista Beta 2 on one of my development level platforms. Didn't wanna install at first. Added a second HD and now it appears to be running ok.
Kinda neat. Serious system resource hog...

IE 7 sucks. Buttons aren't intuitive. The View Source option is only for the entire page being viewed, instead of just the highlighted segement like in Firefox/MOzilla. None of the option menus are visible, but hidden in drop downs.
At least most of the shortcut keys still seem to be the same.
I may have to play with this one a bit and see what I think of it...

Yeah... These last couple of posts are on the Dev board.
It does contain an entirely new way of looking at some parts of the system. I haven't tried any of the command line stuff to see what has changed there.
System security, networking, and management applets all look different.
