After the results last night and my incomprehension of how Taylor Hicks could possibly win as American Idol. Aside from the bias against the Women in this years competion i.e., Stevie Wonder Week, Rod Stewart week, Elvis week...You get the drift.
I started digging and if you go to DIALIDOL.COM and investigate the # of votes after public voting started from the top 24. Taylor received the most number of votes (based on the dialidol.com method of vote counting) every single Tuesday.
He never even got second best. No I am sorry but there is no way Taylor can be the number 1 every time even with a loyal fan base. Something is up... Every other contestant moved up or down on the list based on how well they performed or in some cases based on the logic that one idol took more of a percentage of recently voted off idol voting base however, Taylor remained constantly #1 how is that possible... it can't be.. It is a fix...
Either someone hacked the vote or FOX is complicit.... needs more investigative reporting possibly FOIA requests to determine what really happened.
Of course if there's anything to be learned from season 2 it's that once you get to the top 4 or 5 the actual winner doesn't matter. If the powers that be think the person has a market they will get contract and will make CDs. Really the whole thing is nothing more than a very long commercial for which ever contestants get published.
Ouch... I actually was a Chris/Kat fan when I watched but I really didn't think Taylor would make it... Oh well... on to more pressing matters.
In the words of William Shatner, "Get a life!"
Gets bigger every year...
Thanks!

That's what they say. I only pay attention to the first few episodes, I like watching Simon insult the unroadworthy, I hate the type of synthetic pop that Idol is all about so once that takes over I'm gone, never voted, never will.
Vanity cares? Who's vanity?
Turn off the tube and get outside and do something constructive.
I think pretty quickly you'll find that you really don't give a crap about American Idol.
You're right. That hottie that had the twin sister should have been #1.
Granted. I didn't find her all that interesting or unique. She sounded cookie-cutter and didn't show much personality. Her singing wasn't all that great. Taylor was upbeat and fun, someone enjoyable to watch.
Chris was very, very good. I was surprised when he was voted off.
Well, I do not have the data before me, but it seems that Taylor has been the lead in votes, week after week. Its also a personality contest, whether that's right or not. People seem to think he has charisma.
Personally, I'm an Elliott fan.
Elliott got a raw deal several times; given him "open arms" to sing. It was always a dumb song. If you go to order is music on line, his 2 best songs, not just my opinion, but the judges as well are not available for sale. Whats up with that.
...
So what?
I come from a musical family and have always had an ear for picking popular hit songs. Before the final contestants were chosen I predicted that the last two would be Hicks and McPhee with Hicks winning. I also accurately predicted which finalists would leave and in what order, other than Mandisa. I thought she would last longer.
Taylor Hicks is a very unique entertainer and talent. I'll predict that he will have a huge and lasting career. Chris Daughty will do very well in the genre he's good at, McPhee will do OK but should be on Broadway and Kellie Pickler will be in movies.
Hicks won and won big. Why? For the same reasons people liked Bing Crosby and Roy Rogers. See if you can figure it out.
I'm very happy for Taylor Hicks.
Me too.
Billions of dollars are involved, if somebodies horse was being illegally gored, all legal hell would break loose.
