But whatever actually happened that March 13 night at Duke University -- both the reported rape and its surrounding details are hotly disputed -- it appears at least that the disturbing historic script of the sexual abuse of black women was playing out inside that lacrosse party.
Two black women performed an exotic dance. The white men in their audience shouted racial epithets, one of the women has said. Things got rough. Someone in the crowd held a broomstick aloft and shouted "I'm gonna shove this up you," the other woman told police when she reported being raped. As the women fled the house, a neighbor reportedly heard one of the men shout: "Hey bitch, thank your grandpa for my nice cotton shirt."
The mainstream media have largely tiptoed around the brutal truth that has been discussed among black women in private conversations, in the blogosphere and on college campuses. It is that the Duke case is in some ways reminiscent of a black woman's vulnerability to a white man during the days of slavery, reconstruction and Jim Crow, when sex was used as a tool of racial domination.
It was the kind of predatory behavior that found its way into modern culture in the old Rolling Stones song, "Brown Sugar." And the stereotype of black women as highly sexed, like the lascivious Jezebel from slavery days. "I think there's a tendency to downgrade black women and to discount the fact that, no matter what they are there to do, they are not just animals to be used," says Dorothy Height, 94, president emeritus of the National Council of Negro Women.
"Whatever she did, she was not there as a prostitute," Height says in her defense.

I have read that, statistically, the number of white men who rape black women is 0.0. The same cannot be said for the reverse. Peddle your racism somewhere else, compost.
Even if true, that is only a sign of how pervasive racism is in our society.

it's not so much as what your article states as it is a prosecutor running for re-election and willing to run rough-shod over these young men's lives to get that re-election for himself...shoot first, ask questions later...

I have felt all along that she seen some white rich kids and thought oh boy I could do some damage here....
That is what this case if all about...her getting money so she don't have to work anymore...

Also, no matter what happened that night, I hope everyone involved learned a valuable lesson. You should not be doing things that are morally wrong, they have a way of coming back to bite you.

That can't possibly be true that NO black women are raped by white men. It may be rare but I'm sure it occurs....that being said, being naked and drunk with a group of white boys is not a good mix for any female...prostitue, stripper or coed.
That's it. If it weren't for racism and the legacy of slavery, white men would be eagerly seeking out black women to rape.
And those black women deserve reparations for the rapes they are statistically entitled to, but haven't gotten. ;)
I'm listening to Rape Nazis on Abrams show absolutely screaming at him that he's wrong and that there's nothing wrong with Nifong's case. They are both minority, btw, and I have to wonder if they'd be screeching that this is such a good case the DA has if it was a black boy who raped a white girl.
Someone at the WAPO should do some investigating before they print their crap.
"They said that she [the alleged victim] was cracked out [on drugs?] and offered her body for sexual favors...the lacrosse players refused for fear of catching STDs and began making jokes...she ran into the bathroom, 'cracked out'...there was a dispute over payment...and she left [angrily?]. There was no rape committed by Duke lacrosse players."
