I know I've been here a while, but just thought of asking: can I search via "keyword"? The search I've noticed is by "article title"...anyone?

Hit the pulldown menu at the search button. 1 of the options is Keyword.

Yes, you can. Change the pulldown to the right of the search text box to "Keyword".

Pick "By Keyword" from the drop down menu next to the search box.

I use keywords all the time, and I haven't been stymied yet. Go ahead, give 'er a whirl, RD!
To: Recovering_Democrat
Click on the selection box to the left of the Search button on the front page. "Keyword" is one of the choices.
To: Recovering_Democrat
No, you are not allowed until you are fully "recovered"........

Alright everybody. How many of us opened this thread and immediately moused over RD's username to see when he registered with FreeRepublic?

Shoot RD, you can search for anything you want anyway
you want, THAT is not the problem.
Finding what you are searching for is the
problem with the "so called" FR search program.
Why do you think you see so many conversations like
Poster #1 "Hey I posted that article 6.5 hours ago
it got 8,362 replies and 86,614 views."
Poster #2 "Well I did a search and nothing came up.
I'm sorry Please don't tell the mods"

Yes you can, if the poster is not unconscious and actually provides keywords...
My favorite insane person will post a story about a small town like "Lincoln" and not even bother to mention what freepin' state he's talking about...

As God is my witness, I've never seen that pull down menu until you pointed to the URL of it.

The only problem with using a Keyword is that the feature is not available through the Search feature on the menu bar at the top of the page or at the bottom of this thread. It is only available from the Seach Site, Search News/Activism, etc. at the top of each Threads page. It would be convenient if the Keyword search was available as a pull down menu from all the Search links.

You still won't see it if you click the wrong Search link.

It is weird. Your link works, but whenever I hit "search" on my browser, I get:
Search Words to be found in article titles.
