NEW YORK - Britney Spears stumbled outside a Manhattan hotel, nearly dropping her 8-month-old son and further fueling the ever-growing media scrutiny of her parenting skills.
In photos splashed across the front page and inside the New York Post on Friday, the 24-year-old pop star is shown exiting The Ritz-Carlton hotel with Sean Preston in one hand and a glass in the other.
As her bodyguards walked Spears to her car, she stumbled — her long pants apparently getting tangled in her open-toed shoes — and bent low as Sean Preston's head flung backward, knocking off his orange hat.

Actually, it was installed by a volunteer team from the local children's hospital. So, I guess they did not make too much off the sale.

OTOH when I was two years old (late '50's) I was riding in the back seat of a car with a neighbor's kid the same age. A dump truck rear ended us and we were both thrown to the floorboards. A cop later told our mothers that if we had been strapped in we would have been killed cause the seats were pushed so far forward.
Don't look now, but your state's "Social Services" program is probably way ahead of you on this, especially if you live in a "Blue" state.

By Hollywood standards at least she didn't have the sperm donated and have a female live in lover to raise the kid.
As far as I can tell, she seems to love and care for her child as any normal mother would. Yes, she has made mistakes just like every other new mother would.
The media wasn't around when I dropped my kid because they were wet from a bath or when left my 6 year old at church and didn't realize it until I got home. True story. Hey I counted six heads, just one was the neighbors!!!
At least she has money to support her kid and not living off the taxpayer.

Hollywood shouldn't be allowed to genetically pass on extreme stupidity.
They don't have kids, it's a pet that talks. And as proof, consider the names they give their kids, the names you would use for a dog.
Seriously, I feel badly for her. I said this on a Brit thread before. If every parent were scrutinized over every little daily thing that went wrong with kids in a household, we'd all be in jail. The media is twisting all this stuff and making mountains out of mole hills.
That little boy is in for a rough ride where the media is concerned. I feel sorry for him.
Sure is. This was a big deal a little while back. The difference between what Irwin did and Brittney tripping is that Irwin knowingly put that baby in harms way. Honestly, tripping? I almost fell down the steps with one of my babies once. Terrifying, but that doesn't make a person a bad parent.
I did have a dog named Sean but I can't figure out why you would pick on this Hollywood name. Sean Preston is a perfectly normal name for a kid.

In all seriousness, I was shocked that this made the news. I fell into the dumb trap that the media made for those of us suckers that even paid any attention to such news. Most of you are cracking me up with all your posts though. Bottom line... Britney is pregnant again. I can't count the times I fell during pregnancy. Naturally, pregnancy makes women a bit more clumsy.
Prayers for that young baby(both of them)...
