Yeah. Like this never happens to everyday people. If the kids gonna be screwed up, give some credit to the media for following them around day and night, splashing events they'd ignore if they happened to Joe Nobody all over the front page.
Is there anyone who hasn't had trouble holding onto a baby, and that without paparazzi distracting you?
Most of us would put down the drink.
What do you expect from mag that brought you Jared Paul Stern?
My sentiments exactly - if I were rearing my children in today's climate, I'd be in jail! (They turned out just fine, amazingly!)
Try using a sling so you can carry your glass comfortably.
Nope. When the kids were really small we carried them around in one of those detachable car seat things.
While carrying my 19month old daughter to put her to bed the other night, I went to walk through a doorway and just has we get to the door she decides she wants to swing her head back and BAM! she gets clocked by the door jamb.
Was I a bad parent for not putting a helmet on her head?
Ditto. The media are chasing her in her car, down the street, strolling through a store etc. They are largely responsible for her erratic actions trying to avoid them. They are ruthless, viscious sharks and should leave the girl the hell alone. Every new parent, myself included, has made rookie mistakes when raising kids. They killed Princess Di with their vile behavior.
My exact thoughts. I'm not a Britney fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this is just getting completely ridiculous.
No Brittney fan here, but I agree with you.
I nearly fell down the stairs once carrying my daughter when she was 11 months old. I tried to land with her on top and I did, no serious injuries to either of us. Thanks goodness.
I agree with you. Who of us knows what would happen if we were constantly being chased by men with cameras, catching every little everyday blunder you make. It's despicable.
Reading the list of "events," I'd have to say no, I never had anything of the sort happen while caring for a child.
1. she nearly dropped her 8-month-old son on his head yesterday as she tottered out of a posh Manhattan hotel with a glass in one hand and the tyke in another.
2. dangerously drove with Sean Preston in her lap
3. strapped him into his car seat facing the wrong way, as The Post reported.
4. He also fell from a broken high chair.
This girl doesn't need a gun she needs a common sense implant.

Agreed. The more I see this kind of article, the more sympathy I have for Britney.
I've dropped my babies a couple times, not to mention turning my back while they take a leap into space. I've also walked through doorways just as they lunged their little heads out. So glad I wasn't trailed by a camera crew.
I dropped my oldest son on his head when I fell asleep in the recliner. I was so so so upset. I nearly dropped my next one when I tripped going down some stairs. I didn't, but i have a scar on my leg from it, and my friend who was at the bottom of the stairs scooped the baby out of my hands when I got there.
Like no one else stumbles. What the heck does that have to do with her child raising skills?
Funny how celebs yearn for that press when they're nothings. Then when they become "somebodys" they can't stand the papparazzi.
She tripped over her pants, not a member of the papparazzi.
The reason she tripped was because her jeans were way to long and got hung up by her sandals.
