DURHAM, N.C.—One of three Duke University lacrosse players charged with rape wants the case resolved in time for the next school year, his lawyer said in court yesterday. But the judge warned he will not fast-track the proceedings.
The case "is not going to jump ahead of the line and be handled any differently," Superior Court Judge Ronald L. Stephens said at a hearing for sophomore Reade Seligmann.
After the brief hearing, District Attorney Mike Nifong said he does not expect any trial to begin before next year.

Looks like Nifong is playing games. All those materials were supposed to be turned over.
Nifong is just costing the players money by filing extra motions. Nifong has to turn it over, he doesn't have a choice. Maybe, he figures he can insert himself and make it as hard as he can on the Defense attorneys.
He was screaming and cursing last week and he did ban the News Corpse from an entire floor out of anger. No one claims he doesn't hold a grudge - even his friends.

There are all these comments about, this is the defense's spin on the discovery. Too bad no one asked Kendall who has been truthful to the press so far?

Nifong may have legal troubles. A Newsweek reporter attributed direct quotes to him. He indicated a TOX report existed that went to guilt. Hannity and guests said last week that the AV specifically said at the hospital her assailants did not wear condoms. Nifong went on National TV are said one explanation for the DNA results was that the rapists could've worn condoms.
Distric Attorneys have a higher standard. They are unique. Probably because of the power vested in them. They are to seek the truth. they are sworn to seek justice.
I won't pretend to know the actual statutes violated, but I would think that Nifong will be investigated by the N.C. Bar for his actions, at a minimum. It is believed that Nifong has already been reported for his prejudicial comments made to the media and his attempts to question the players without their legal representation present.

Yes, apparently Kim waited in the car for Mangum, but it was only about 7 minutes, near as I can figure, and then Kim went back in after Mangum was placed in her (Kim's) car.
Frankly, it depends on the racial make-up and character of the jurors.
Nifong is as big a criminal as Mangum is, imo.
I am exasperated by this case. I wonder why the TV shows aren't simply running stories saying "was this whole thing a hoax?" Has a fraud been perpetrated on the American people? So I am frustrated. I am trying to deal with by humor at this point. I think Jezebelle would agree, without Nifong: none of this is possible.
I do think we will see the AV profit from her lies though. There is a segment that will glorify her and make her out to be Victim Symbol No. 1. She will be celebrated in some areas. Jesse Jackson has already said he will pay for some of her financial obligations.

Possible, but not likely. I think no tox report was ever done. All we have to find out is whether the examiners took a blood and urine sample...
If later a report is found, then Nifong has plausible deniability as to whether he lied or not to the court/defense. I don't trust anything he says.
On Fox and MSNBC they said on the Medical report, the box was NOT checked indicating a TOX report had been done.
A scientist on MSNBC (Kobilinsky) said that they did take Blood, but Urine is needed to detect Date-Rape drugs according to him. They didn't collect urine.
The same scientist said it would be normal for a TOX test to be done with the police reporting her behavior and taking her to the psychiatrict unit first.
In North Carolina though, they can't test someone reporting a sexual assault without their consent. The AV declining the TOX test would explain everything.
A toxicology report takes only a few hours or a day at most. What can the explanation be for this report still being unavailable?
I think CGM either refused the tests, or the SANE decided they were not necessary.

I think the next step is for the defense to try to get into federal court under claims of civil rights violations. They're not going to get any fair treatment through Durham County. Everybody there, most likely including the judiciary, is cowed by the contingent of black race-baiters and their idiotic handmaidens in the press.
There was no tox done, according to the box checked inquiring about that on the medical report. Those are usually done through a urine sample, anyway.
