Good grief, Charlie Brown! This is the case that keeps on giving.
I was not overly impressed with Stephens today, however, I do give him points for establishing, upfront, that the court room would be in order. After what Greta said this afternoon after court it was certainly needed.
Several posters have pointed out that the legal fees related to this matter will likely be very high.
Assuming that this matter goes to trial next spring and that all three of the boys are acquitted at that time, how much are the legal fees likely to be for each of them?
Assuming that the judge refuses to reduce the $400,000 bond for each of them, the loss of use of these funds obviously would be a further cost to each of them.

This travesty could financially ruin these people and it scares me....it could be any of us having to spend our retirements/homes/futures to defend our kids against a political/racial witchhunt.

Given that the players have bonded closely by this point, I think it's natural to think that they would pooled their families resources to defend the three. Afterall, due to the eenie meenie nature of the case, it could be any three of them on the stand.

2 DNA experts from a private lab
Sexual assault forensic nurse from Duke Med
Abrams did not mention the ER doc on duty the night the FA arrived . Hmm....
Either Abrams just omitted the mention or more likely the ER doc did not actually examine the FA- just signed off on the SANE report.
Abrams did not name any other consultants .
Again-either he omitted that or else no one ( ENT for choke injuries, GYN for vaginal injuries, surgeon for anal tears ) was called to treat the horrific injuries normally suffered by any woman that has been gang raped, choked, beaten and sodomized by 3 frenzied assailants in 20 minutes.
I find that very telling.
What did Abrams have to say about today's hearing?

The judge first admonished the court room, that only the lawyers and himself would be allowed to talk.
A black heckler (presumambly a panther) had yelled "YOU a dead man walking" and "justice will served, rapist."
Judge refused to reconsider lowering the bond, but he did order Nifong to turn over all the notes to the defense.
A panel expert (you can guess her (gender I've told you) race) was extremely obtuse. Not much productive conversation. Dan was pissed in the end.

If he "doesn't know," it is because he told somebody NOT to tell him where it was so he could honestly answer when he was asked about it.
