Prehistoric site found in Jerusalem
Jerusalem Post ^ | May 9, 2006 | Etgar Lefkovits

Israeli archaeologists have uncovered a large concentration of stone utensils on the southeastern rim of the city which were used by prehistoric man hundreds of thousands of years ago... The reason for the stone-age settlement at the site was apparently its proximity to exposed rock from which the men made their tools, according to Omri Barzilai and Michal Birkenfeld, the two archaeologists heading the dig... Although history-rich Jerusalem is immersed in archaeology from the Biblical period onwards, archaeologists have previously found only two other sites in the city - near Mount Scopus and on Emek Refaim Street - that date so far back.

That's a pretty blunt-looking arrowhead.

You are one of those that believe the earth is like a few thousand years old right?

Then when do you think those people lived that had only stone tools and no houses?

I'm no arrowhead expert. It just looked thick, which made me wonder if it was used to penetrate or just to knock something out.

O I doubt that. A stone-arrowhead still would do more damage than knocking someone out, even a blunt one. And it does look large, more suitable for a spear. But I am not an expert either lol. Although i started archery as a hobby.

I will continue to post those as-is, and if anyone gets really obnoxious about that, I will tell them very nicely where to stick it, and if it continues, I will file a complaint with FR management. I like my participation on FR, and am not going to be bullied or railroaded into silence. And my immortal soul will be just fine.

Oh man, I wish I could fit that in my tagline.

:') Thanks.

Here's an inside joke that would work as a tagline:

"Sometimes I just feel like Switzerland."

Similarly, I'm heartily sick of being accused by proxy of being an atheist just because I don't censor / edit postings of stories which use BCE instead of BC and CE instead of AD.

I'm darned if I remember the conversion between BC/Ad & BCE/CE. Isn't 1971 AD = 1 Crevo Era & 1970 = 1 Before Crevo Era?

Or am I confusing CE/BCE with Before & After Lindsey?

All I know for sure is that this is the Year 83 of The Century of the Fruit Bat, and I need another slice of Hogswatch Pie.
