Wow I thought better of you than to load some French O/S when prodded by Shadow dude and Flaming dude from hell. Oh well, probably won't work much better anyway, and some people must have more time than money.

When can I expect a retraction--or should this go into the Big List o'Lies?

Too bad your browser is broke again

Tried it in IE and that wanna-be browser IE. Both dead.

No they're not, since they were being used to claim Red Hawk wasn't being distributed

No, both statements were and in context. The first one refuted your statement-as-a-question claim that "Don't they have to give a copy to anyone who wants a copy?" No, they don't.

The second one was in response to your claim that ""I was pointing out that anyone in the world could get a "legal" copy of that source code once any single customer decides off the cuff to release it," Your modifications to Linux may be GPL, but you can claim the the code as a trade secret, releasing it only to your clients (IAW the GPL), the ones you have distributed it to, the ones who have signed an NDA. This is a contract on top of a license. Thus if one of your clients releases the code, you are not without legal recourse to get compensated for any damages that may have occured.

For actual modifications to the code of others, the same basic concept exists with the Mozilla and Sun licenses.

I think FR is paying for their Linux

We can't know that. JimRob runs the site on a minimum budget, and has a co-located server.

Way #1: I believe JimRob is talented enough to take care of his own server, so could easily just download Red Hat, install and maintain it.

Way #2: His ISP provides the server and maintenance of the OS with a managed hosting package, so it hinges on whether the ISP bought support from Red Hat, which isn't necessarily the case, and has nothing to do with JimRob's intentions.

Correct that, tried it in Firefox and the wanna-be IE.

I never prodded him to download Mandriva. If I'm wrong, give me a post that shows different. Hint: it should be by ME, not you, and contain the words "download" and "Mandriva".

As I've asked before, please try to grasp basic facts before spouting

He's spent 3 weeks arguing a months-old statement that proves nothing, even if he was right, and he still clings to it as if the fate of the world rests on whether or not I said Concurrent was distributing RedHawk.

Let him wallow in his neurosis.

So instead of being honest and admitting you were wrong, you just dismiss the fact that he was right. You are by far the most dishonest poster on FR.

I know so little about RPM-based distros that, although I'd heard of both of those, I didn't know if they'd be available to Mandriva.

Huh? Your sole goal in life seems to be to push Linux on here, even with your tagline and homepage.

I didn't say he was right. I said that the premise he was arguing would have proved nothing, even if he could have somehow proven that I said what he says I did, i.e, "even if he was right".

I assumed that you misread 189 and thought you were talking to GE, not me. Is that the case?

Your sole goal in life seems to be to push Linux on here, even with your tagline and homepage.

That's because you don't actually know me.

I never prodded dennisw into Mandriva or any other distro. I was asked questions about it and I provided answers.

Again--when can I expect your retraction?

So FR is actually much less involved with Linux than was thought. Why am I not surprised.

Um, there were two possibilities, and that's just what they are...possibilities. I don't think AntiRepublicrat was representing either as fact, just as options that could be true.

But, you took the position most conducive to your point of view and ran with it, as you always do.

More obvious lies from the Flamer from hell, who insists he did nothing to assist with Mandriva, when the posts just above show him googling for it, posting intructions, even links to the French O/S. Guy just can't open his mouth without pushing Linux, lying, or both.

I really don't care, I don't have a problem the owners of this site and appreciate them allowing me to post. What I do have a problem with is the constant lies from the Linux pushers, which are always followed up by more lies. Cut out all the lying, and we might get along fine too. So long as you allow me to post facts, like the DNC and PRC commmitments to Linux without slinging insults, which appears to be impossible.
