Accused Duke lacrosse player Reade Seligmann's attorneys want Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong thrown off the case.
Today, they filed a legal motion specifically asking for it.
"DA Mike Nifong neglected his duty as a prosecutor to seek the truth and a fair prosecution," the defense's motion reads.
The motions were filed just 24 hours before Nifong's Tuesday election in which he's fighting to keep his seat. Nifong is being challenged by former prosecutor Freda Black and private lawyer Keith Bishop

And to the smearing they've resorted to ... Look at the N&O article a couple posts back by TexKat.
The N&O is tryhing to say alcohol is a Duke problem. Last year, in a widely publicized case, 2 men were shot and killed at North Carolina State in a Tailgating party.
NC State students living off-campus have had a big public feud with local residents of that community.
Crystal Mangnum (NCCU STUDENT!!) was LUCKY not to kill someone when she went the wrong way down highways in a stolen car at over TWICE the LEGAL Limit.
There have been publicized near riots at UNC involving drinking and celebrations of team victories. They had an Arts Festival near UNC that they had to terminate (No future festivals) due to shootings surrounding that event.
The N&O and the larger media is doing this because they're white and perceived as powerful (they're 19 years old).
The other part of the smearing involves looping them into a group. For instance bringing in drinking incidents of previous lacrosse teams that have graduated. I cannot name another Criminal incident where the press blamed individuals for other members (or former members) behavior.
They've lumped them all together. They all look alike.
This was ugly -- but mitigated by the Roberts taunt to which he was responding: "You limp-dick white boys, you're not real men. You had to pay for us."
Well! I have to date not heard what was said to the boys which may have promoted the "cotton shirt" comment.
Does it also mean that she and Crystal "give it away for free" to the black brothers?

You are right: it won't. And why not? The left has got to keep up the stereotype that all "blacks" think alike. And this is also, unfortunately, the subtext which accompanies preferential affirmative action and gerrymandering districts: We need a skin match representation in order to "represent us".
Problem here is, then, given the stats in the US? A President should always be "white"... which then leads to the whole subtext underscoring the reparations scam.

And the New Black Panthers guy on Sean Hannity's show wanted to get "up in arms" about Rush's little "ho" comment? Egads, Rush was being cool in with rapper jive... lol!

To the contrary, if anything, what is happening in Durham is further polarizing the haves from the have-nots, white from black. It’s justifying racism. It’s justifying a mind-set that states: Do it to them because they’d do it to you.
I think the N&O's article today on the "Prosecution's Heavy Hand" is so hypocritical. When they printed the team poster with names and faces on April 2, I hope they opened themselves up to a mega-lawsuit by families of the players. Today's article is just a self-serving effort to appear fair. It's far too late .. the damage is done.

The insinuation, from the beginning, in the Media and from the Black "Leaders", has been, Something bad happened in that house and the natural extension of that is AND SOMEONE HAS TO PAY FOR IT.
Yep - they screwed up and they know it. It's CYA time.
Many are predicting Nifong will find a way to drop this case before trial. How then will the facts ever be known? Without a criminal trial, is a civil trial the only way to compel the DA to relinguish all his "evidence" and for the defense to have a forum in which to publicly air it?

NIFONG is still breaking ethics rules.. again yesterday he said that he's confident a rape did occur.
He's hinting to the Media that there's toxicology reports saying she was drugged, now he's saying the was some DNA results the Defense doesn't want anyone to know about.
The Rules say he's not supposed to making public statements on a case.
He has been called on this by several members of the North Carolnia Bar, and, yet, it continues. He did shut up for awhile but we he gets close to the camera, he can't help himself.
When was the last time anyone heard a DA saying the Defense attorneys don't want to face me (like they are afraid of him)? Dan Abrams called Nifong "Pompass" as in Ass.

Kim Roberts will say anything you pay her to say.
Defense attorneys claim she's on record, with their investigators, saying she didn't believe a rape happened.
The Kroger Security Guard (a black woman) said there's no way she was raped.
So Worldnetdaily weighs in with yet another piece saying (my analysis) I've encountered other white privleged males and they're all alike. They generalize and have no trouble judging all white males at elite Universities as "beasts" as they call them.
I'm going to work, I can't take this anymore.
