Anyone notice that the immigrants are now waving American, rather than Mexican, flags? Maybe it makes one less of an ingrate to quit loyalty to a native land that treated him like dirt.

yes the PR people for these agitators discerned that it was probably better to wave US rather than Mexican flags, because it didn't go over well at all the first time out. A++

I need a new rosemary plant. Mine bit the dust two winters ago and it was a well-mulched thick shrub. I keep checking Depot for it since I want the "Arp" variety. It adds just the right balance to my perennial bed.

is rosemary a perennial? i had it in a pot on the deck and i saw something that looked like it might be coming back in that pot, but wasn't sure. i didn't put anything else in it and will wait and see.

It might be coming back. It is a tender perennial.

It has to get really cold here for rosemary planted in the ground to freeze-one of my rosemary clumps froze to the ground, but it is coming back now-the other two are more sheltered from the north wind, so they didn't suffer any damage.

By the way, I didn't see closed businesses, signs, or other evidence of illegal alien protests yesterday-I figured it was probably because I worked in the boonies ratther than the city. Hubby worked in Kerrville yesterday, and he didn't see or hear anything either, but he said when he left for work in SA this morning he supposed he'll hear all about anything that happened out of the ordinary.

Three stolen cars were abandoned on our street in the wee hours this morning and I live in suburbia. They left the Lincoln with PA plates right in front of my house in the middle of the road. The Lexus was down the road and I don't know what the other one is. The Lincoln had a banged-up rear bumper with grass under it. The cop wasn't happy. He is at the end of a 12 hour shift and now this.

Rosemary is a perennial.

A perennial what? And why are you calling Rosemary names? What did she do to you?

You'd better be careful. xs will excoriate you for lolly-gagging in here rather than opening up a new class.

Taqueria Arandas, a family-owned chain of Mexican restaurants w/locations in Houston and Austin, was apparently closed state-wide in support of the "rally".

A very bad PR move, IMO...boycotts can cut both ways.
