New Burger King Commercial
Posted on 04/30/2006 6:11:53 PM PDT by LegendHasIt
Anyone seen the new Burger King Commercial? (new to me, anyway)
A crowd of sort of normal looking young to middle aged men eat a Burger King Burger, march in a horde down the street, then throw a SUV off an overpass.
What the heck kind of message does this send?

The King has lost his mind -
After that first really wierd "wake up with the king" commercial I would have sold my stock if I owned any.

After that first really wierd "wake up with the king" commercial I would have sold my stock if I owned any. My wife, who normally refrains from commenting on such things, says that the guy in bed with "The King" commercial creeps her out. It does seem rather homoerotic! < gag >

I like Chick-fillet, but Arby's is so good. I usually get the Beef-n-chedder and put on lots of onions, pickles, and banana pepper.

(2) Hardees (no longer have around here)
(3) Wenday's (finally reopend after the hurricane)
(4) McDonald's (if I have to)
(5) Burger King (never did like

I guess I should have read your post first. I KNEW I saw the King with a man. I was also a little freaked out.

Hell ya. Lived in VA Beach for 4 years (military station) and the Chik Fil A up the street from the house was frequented regularly by the family. Good times...

I think you need to rewatch the commercial and calm down. It was a bunch of everyday guys tired of the metrosexual/emasculation routine. I thought it was kind of funny.
Also, that wasn't an SUV--it was a minivan. Yet in keeping with the motif. Like I said, calm down.

So, It is OK to throw a 'mini-van' off an overpass if it is somehow related to something you are tired of, huh?
To: xsmommy
Yes! Deluxe grilled chicken with honey roasted bar-b-que sauce--- yummmm..
To: LegendHasIt
Well, I can see you're bound and determined to be offended by something, usually a hallmark of the reactionary liberal. Good to see it's not just limited to them.
It's a silly commercial, for God's sake. But, please, write your letters, sputter in outrage, by all means.
