THE ***OFFICIAL*** (That’s right, OFFICIAL) WEEKEND SINGLES THREAD—APRIL 28 through 30

> > > >

Hello, hello, hello, everybody!!! Welcome to this week’s awesomely spectacular SINGLES THREAD (so awesome, I had to capitalize it), hosted by pcottraux and ilovew!!!

But enough chit chat. Let’s start tripping the light fantastic!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Of course, without a few tunes going on, dancing would just be a bad “a cappella” rip off.

Do the Monkey With Me!
Come on!!!

And now to get the ball rolling:

Well, let’s face it. When it comes to the art of conversation, I’m not exactly Picasso. I’m more like Johnny Bravo in that episode where he made butt prints on a canvas.

Hey, how'd you like to watch the show in 3-D, sweet thing?
Say there, pretty air mama, didn't you see me in your dreams last night?
Hey babearilla, that a pretty eensie-weensie, teeny-weenie polka-dot thingy you got going there.
Come and get it, ladies. I'm yours for the takin'!
Hey there, cutie pants!
Hey all you hot mamas. Wanna talk to a steamin' hunk of cyber fella?
Hey there, cutie pants. Am I as studly as the Statue of David, or what?
Oh, baby! I'm going to make your dreams come true!
Hya! Dreamy hunk, right here!
You wanna frisk me?
Wanna get lost with me (whoosh)?
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, let's roll in the hay.
I'm gonna say, 'Hey hot mama, wanna go back to my place for a game of Twister?
Lady: "How many times do I have to tell you I have a boyfriend?!" Johnny: "Well, you look like the kind of girl that could use two."
I bet your name's Mickey, 'cause you're so fine. You're so fine...
Hey there, foxy hygiene girl. (whoosh) I love a babe with minty breath.
All right. I guess that makes me the object of desire, huh baby?
Johnny: "Excuse me, miss." Lady: "(gasp!)" Johnny: "How'd you like to paint the town red with a happenin' hipster?"
Pardon me, hot sexy mama. If you'd please to take a look at my, (whoosh) Hya, studly bod, (whoosh), then I may have the pleasure of you wanting to be my number-one main squeeze.
Hey there, miss. I'm Johnny B. Wanna spend the day with me?
Whoa. Man, you're pretty!
Hey there, Spanish seniorita. Sprechen se love?
Hey there, smart mama.
You smell kinda pretty. Wanna smell me?
Say, how 'bout you and me sharin' a soda right now?
You're steamin' baby! You too. And you. And you, pretty man. Oh man, time flies when you're having fun.
Hello, teen hotline. You're boyfriend left ya'? Why, what are you wearin'?
Wanna do the monkey with me?

So, are we having fun yet? What am I saying…of course we are!!!

AND THE FUN IS JUST GETTING STARTED!!!

Let’s make it a weekend to remember!!!

Unnngh!

Took that and got a C. My then-major required passage of Calculus I.

I'm here physically, but not necessarily mentally--in and out...;)

Have to boot into Windows--will be back in a bit.

Tuliptree76 is going to become a tax acccountant teacher. She is well on her way. Or a college professor, I might add.

Very complicated stuff and can really twist your mind. Tulip seems to be very good at it.

I passed calc with some heavy tutoring. My neighbor and friend helped me out. And he actually flunked twice in grade school, grades 2 and 6. He turned out to be one of the smartest people I ever met. He just didn't like school a lot when he was little.

I think I have figured out the problem. It's the monitor, specifically the cord. I have a rabbit and a little chunk out of my monitor cord. I twisted it and now the computer appears to be working. I could hear it boot up but nothing ever came on the screen, or when it did, it would be fine for a minute or two and lock up. I've been on here a good 10 minutes now so I think that's what it was. This is good news I think, and of course, we are having rabbit stew for supper (just kidding!!)

We're not allowed dogs or cats here so our only option was rodents, fish or birds. We're moving (my daughter and I) so we'll be able to have real pets again.

You're telling me. Taxes are so complicated and totally convoluted. I have two weeks left in Income Tax and canNOT wait to finish this one! This class has required more study time than any other class so far.

Our instructor for this class has been doing taxes since the 60's. She has been a wealth of historic information. It's going to be a huge loss for the school when she retires in the near future.

Tuliptree76, you have my admiration for taking on this one!

so our only option was rodents, fish or birds.

That sounds more like things you try to get rid of,rather than pets.

Hope you enjoy your new place.

Thanks, Ladysmith. Right now I'm teaching in other areas of accounting while I'm working on my degree, but I did get to teach a semester of tax.

Beware the evil Unix Daemon - devourer of souls.

Before you know it, you'll be stuck at work installing Solaris kernel/security patches Saturday night through Sunday morning.

(Like me, now.)

Well, I sure could have used you yesterday! LOL!!

I had a question about cash flows statements, fighting to get mine to work. BUT!, another student jarred my memory and I found my error. Just printed out the statement and am outta here to go see a play!!

(Leaving the house on a Saturday night??! Unheard of!!) ;o)

Personally, I run a dual-boot between Linux and Windows--I Fear the Penguin...;)

Of course, at school, I use FreeSBIE, a live CD based on FreeBSD 5.3.

I got started on open-source software with Firefox. Then I got disenchanted with Windows and tried Linux. Then I ran Slackware. Now, I run Suse Linux at home and BSD on the road--I swear, it's an addiction... ;)

Heck, I modified Flux to resemble my BSD desktop as much as possible--using the sn33z theme and a customized gkrellm.

OTOH, I end up using Digital Unix to maintain my student website (that's what the server runs).

I paid a specialist $50 to do my taxes for me this year. Done in a week and an excellent job. Some of the best money I ever spent.

I'm here on and off. Trying to take care of my mother. Neighbors were over to see her tonight and one had my computer chair for an hour so I was temporarily out of action.

We got our "C"'s in calc and we'll never see or use it again.

Trig too. Big waste of time, effort and money, but if you want the degree you have to play the game.
