                  My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good Sunday morning to all.

To: Kathy in Alaska
Thank You, Kathy, for today's selection of hymns.

To: bentfeather
     Pentecost

Did it start
like the faintest whisper,
a breath of air,
gathering speed,
growing to a gale,
like a storm of God's light
ready to sweep across the globe?

Did it start
like a spark,
a brightness,
a pinprick of light,
a smolder
that roared into a flame
ready to set a sorrowful world on fire?

The hand of God at work -
taking this tiny group
like fine kindling
and blowing it into the flame
that would burn through the centuries -
a fire fueled with his own love,
bought by his own blood,
empowered with his own fire.

Come, Holy Spirit
And renew the face of the Earth,
spreading your flame
heart to heart,
soul by soul
rekindling, renewing, recharging
the light of your love
in the hearts of all who call Jesus Lord.

Let we who are warmed by your fire
spread these flames
hand to hand,
touch by touch,
life to life
until the whole world is emblazoned
with your touch,
the unquenchable fire
of the love of God
for this sad and undeserving world.

Amen.

     Water Lilies

 Water Lilies
by Sara Teasdale

If you have forgotten water lilies floating
On a dark lake among mountains in the afternoon shade,
If you have forgotten their wet, sleepy fragrance,
Then you can return and not be afraid.

But if you remember, then turn away forever
To the plains and the prairies where pools are far apart,
There you will not come at dusk on closing water lilies,
And the shadow of mountains will not fall on your heart.

We are not oft strong in the long haul
and we worry what everything bodes
everyday, until we lose to simple overrunning sadness. That's so pretty.
 we drape a wet day
 around our shoulders
find our form in the
 cold curtain, a cascade
 that cannot help
 but reveal
 our shape.
 in the in the level
 water always seeks
 we forget, without
 the rock
 there is no fall.

To: WayzataJOHNN
Oh bother, no edit function, you know of course that
in the in the level
doesn't need the second "in". sheesh

    Good morning,everyone.

Sorry I won't be around to chat. The keys stick so badly it's hard to type. Hugs all around.

To: bentfeather
Sticky keys are often the sign of a one-handed typer.

How's the dialup?

  Sonnet XIX
by William Shakespeare
Devouring Time, blunt thou the lion's paws,
And make the earth devour her own sweet brood;
Pluck the keen teeth from the fierce tiger's jaws,
And burn the long-lived phoenix in her blood;
Make glad and sorry seasons as thou fleets,
And do whate'er thou wilt, swift-footed Time,
To the wide world and all her fading sweets;
But I forbid thee one most heinous crime:
O, carve not with thy hours my love's fair brow,
Nor draw no lines there with thine antique pen;
Him in thy course untainted do allow
For beauty's pattern to succeeding men.
Yet, do thy worst, old Time: despite thy wrong,
My love shall in my verse ever live young.

To: Lady Jag
No can't say that I have! I think the kids banged on the keys too hard. Enough to drive me nuts.

To: bentfeather
If you haven't taken a key off before, do they have an old keyboard around? They snap off and on. I had to take one off to get a jimmy out because it was jammed so the key wouldn't work at all. A new keyboard can be got for $10 or 20, are you willing to bet $10-20 that it'll work?

They should cut down on soda. Is anyone there lefthanded?
