We bought us a pick-em-up truck this weekend! Found one in Oakwood GA that is just terrific. It has all the bells and whistles; even a Moon Roof! It's a 2004 F250 Crew Cab Turbo Diesel 6.0 liter with only 14K miles!! We'd gone to look at some locally, but no one had any F250 Diesels. I guess they're just not as popular up in the Northeast. It might be more difficult getting them going in the cold weather, I don't know. We also wanted to check the interiors to see if the XLT would be as comfortable as the Lariat package, because there was a difference in price between the two. This one has the Lariat package, and the price was great for the low mileage. It even has one of those hard shell tonneau covers for the back, over a sprayed on bed liner. It's Dark Green with tan along the bottom by the running boards. It also has back up sensors which will be vey important. I remember how challenging it was trying to back up the Land Yacht (GMC Vandura 2500 Conversion Van), when we had it.

So we're driving down at the end of the first week in June, will pick up the truck, then get David at the Atlanta airport. SirKit will go get the cargo trailer and head home with it while David and I drive the red van (Brego) down to the coast where he'll drop me off at my sister's, the kayaks off at SirKit's brother's rectory, then drive on home to Texas in his new (old) car. He's so excited to have wheels, he doesn't even care that it's a minivan!

Exciting! That's another step closer to your actual move, and that's awesome.
