Afternoon folkses...
Just got back from thepool with Luke. I kept askin' who I should give my complaints to. ;-)
Luke spent the weekend with cousins (and Sister Mary Hamburner and husband). We're doing a bit of deprogramming.
Ruthy - I stayed up and watched another four episodes of Lost last night. It's fascinating, and I'm probably hooked. I'm just not sure I'm likin' that yet.
In other news...
Naybers got a bug zapper. I wish they'd put the money into that fence they keep promisin'.
Jr. interviewed to be a lifeguard at Kings Dominion...why no he's ~not~ certified. But, if they hire him, they'll train him and certify him.
And....drumroll please...
Luke just lost his first tooth.

Heh...betcha the tooth fairy brings a lot more these days. Durned inflation.
In the meantime...I've spent the day trying to get motivated to do *something*, but haven't.
*sigh*
In my dreams! I'll bite my tounge and remain in the good graces of the inlaws, but even my MIL took me aside and asked, "What's that all about?" The problem is the young *ahem* lady in question is in college and is therefore infallible. Her eating behaviors have everyone gravely concerned. She'll binge on junk food and then exercise for hours (yes, a form of bullemia). Whenever someone prepares a proper meal for her she turns up her nose and says, "Sorry, but none of that is on Weight Watchers." She is well toned and athletic so trying to caution her is pointless. Her body's youth is still able to compensate for her diet. On the other hand, nothing is compensating for her manners. ARGH!
It's a soy burger that generally resembles a hamburger - complete with natural and artifical flavors, colors, and smells. They've even painted on grill marks. The stuff is so overprocessed it doesn't count as food.

That's ridiculous. I know if I'd ever tried something like that (not that I would, hamburgers are good!) my mom would have had a really good talk with me.
Trouble with being hooked is the wait between seasons. Ungh.

Oh, but you see that's when you turn on the Southern Charm. You smile a HUGH smile, take her by the arm, while leading her to the grill, and say, "Why honey, I didn't know you were on a special diet! Now since I'm not exactly sure how you want that done, why don't you just come on over here and Big ol will make a place on the grill, give you a special turner that you can use to cook YOUR burger, and I'm sure it will turn out just right!"
I have so many little teeth in my jewelry box. AT this point, I don't know whose is whose unless I thought to write the name on the envelope at the time.
