New verse:

Home is behind, the world ahead, |

I think those things sound like a great idea...I'm seeing more and more too. If you want, you can keep the pod. If not, they'll ship it to a warehouse for you and hold it for you till your ready for it.

I think it sounds great!
I'm wore out too! Got the grill going.
I'm cooking up 3# of hamburger meat for dinners. Tonite's portion will be in enchiladas. Can't believe my weekend is over already. Work has me totally bummed lately and I'd much rather stay home and work around the house. ~whine~
12 feet tall?! You'll need a ladder to pick 'em!

Hmmm....I think we used to grow Kentucky Wonders when we did pole beans. We switched to bush varieties of string and butterbeans. I like the flat Italian green beans and they have a bush variety, so I plant that.

I just planted yellow squash and zucchini yesterday. It's been a rather cold spring and everything I've put out (except the turnips and collards) have just sat there. I finally got some lettuce to sprout!

The collards are yummy and I'm going to see how long I can grow them until the cabbage looper wins. The turnip greens are nice and big. I think they might be too tough to eat so I'm waiting on the turnips. I'll plant a fall crop and see how long into the winter I can have fresh greens. Back home I could have fresh turnip and collard greens through most of the winter....before the deer ate 'em all up.
No!! Don't shoot the kitty! He was just lapping up leftover juice!
Okay, 'red flag, drop mag, eject round, show empty'
...but you can shoot all the rabbits and squirrels you want.
Thanks. I'll check with his dad and see if they got it.
Evenin'...I'm back. Note to self: do not attempt to right sinking gravestones without professional help and equipment. Ow.
Sigh...
Tylenol? Extra-strenght Tylenol? Sorry bout that.
Uuuuggghhh....think I ate too much chocolate....
not possible.
Chocolate... mmmm...
Most of the shows we've seen didn't involve anything big as far as remodeling is concerned. Most folks just needed to get rid of some of their furniture so folks could get around, and some fresh paint.
I saw one today about a couple in Manhattan selling a 1BR 1 1/2 BA condo and were asking about $650 for it. They hadn't even cleaned the BATHROOM! The bath mat had mildew on the bottom of it that was just gross! The people who had been through it had remarked that it smelled bad, and was disgusting. There were clothes everywhere, and they hadn't even moved the garbage can out of the kitchen.
I don't know if the TV show folks tell them NOT to do any picking up so as to elicit the most negative comments from people, but I can't believe that anyone who is actually serious about selling their house would let anyone go through it in the condition some of these houses are in.
I'm finding more mint plants here and there...I should give you a few if you come for bachelors buttons one of these days! It spreads like crazy even in poor soil, so I'll have more'n I can use eventually...and it's nice just to have near the door. Smells nice if it gets crushed a little.
Yeah, I've seen a few of those shows. Most of the time, it's just moving stuff out, painting, a little decorating.

The ones that always got me were where they didn't even bother to clean up. I mean, really! There was this one house in Florida that had a great sunroom-type area. Only the windows were so dirty that you couldn't see through them. Seems to me the sunroom would be a major selling point and you would want it to look as good as you could get it.
My house sold too fast...I barely started cleaning, let alone anything else. But I guess that's a good problem to have. ;-)

Well...at least got half the back yard mowed and the mower put away before the rain started again. Granted, that and a little weeding is *all* I accomplished today, but...

Now I guess I'll wait and see if the rain develops into anything more than a drizzle. If not, the grill shall be started.

Have I mentioned I wuv my chimney starter?
Thinkin' I could maybe find a place for some catnip, too...that's pretty easy to grow, isn't it? Isn't it a type of mint, pretty much?

I wonder if you can buy actual catnip plants at Home Depot or some such thing.
I might try one of those chimney starters...once I run out of lighter fluid.
