Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Until the stars are all alight
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Wow- Well thanks for checking in... I know something's been making you keep checking out opportunities in dryer climes! But jeepers!
Will you have time for a visit moot before you go - catch up with all you've been up to?
To: TalonDJ
Sigh... yeah... but it's the hard work part of the move.
I'd rather you were getting me and not my stuff, too.

Ah...sheesh. You heard I was moving there, didn't ya? I'll be up next week to go house-hunting with Ramius, but I don't know if we can squeeze in a quick visit in the short time I'll be there.
Well, you do understand that by you moving to Vegas - we now ~have~ to have a Moot there. It's a sacrifice we must make.
;-)

But what if we have to go to Vegas in, say, 07 for a WeddingMoot? I guess you'll have to go to Nepal after all, Ruthy.

Gotta run to work...no I hadn't heard -- heck, you guys should buy MY house. It's an absolute zoo around us here...leaving the house with dogs at odd times in order to let people view the house etc. Packing and all. We're tethered to cell phones (well, that hasn't changed, it's now just MORE cell phones). All our visits these days are quick!
To: Corin Stormhands; HairOfTheDog
today she is a *princess* LOL. As if she isn't one everyday already.
In anycase, she just walked in here and told me, "I wan pay ditty my." Which translates to "I want to play with my cat." Only, she didn't get her "ditty" she picked up her rabbit.
We aren't doing school today. It's an official holiday ;-) The kids are watching Peter Pan on TV.
To: RMDupree; JenB
Just can't have it this year. Not for lack of time but for that fact that Jen's and my folks would have to kill us over wedding pictures with Elvis...
To: TalonDJ
And while part of me says "We'll be in Iowa, what can they do?" the other part realizes that I will want to see them again at some point in my life... without being given grief over the Elvis wedding.

Don't worry. I've got the Elvis part covered.
Or uncovered.
Your choice.

I wonder if they rent tuxes with the Elvis styling....
To: Corin Stormhands
Covered please. Oh, and if you can get the LED lightup jacket that would rule. If Jen kills you though I had nothing to do with it.
To: TalonDJ
Hon, you don't really want me to spend our wedding night in a holding cell, do you?

It would keep you honest. Least you couldn't sneak out and see each other the night before. :~D

"Chester Drawers" and "Strippity Do-Dah." Sounds like a Southern yarn, to me!

Sounds interesting, Rose. I like reading different characters' perspectives in a story.
