I just saw on Foxnews that President Bush's poll numbers have taken another dive. Gee I wonder why?
Maybe the average American isn't thrilled about our President hosting the Red Chinese..complete with marching bands..and a 21 gun salute.
Maybe the average American isn't thrilled that 12000 illegal aliens enter the US every day. Screw guest workers, screw the economy..if the terrorist sneak some sort of bomb in here..its all gonna be blown to hell anyways.
Maybe the average American isn't thrilled that Iran was named CHAIRMAN of the disarm committee of the UN..and we don't hear A PEEP from our President.
What happens next of course..is that Iran will call for Israel to "unarm" themselves of their weapons. Why are we hosting the red chinese anyways? A country where human rights DO NOT EXIST.
China..a country that threatened the United States.
Remember this??
If the Americans draw their missiles and position-guided ammunition on to the target zone on China's territory, I think we will have to respond with nuclear weapons, said General Zhu Chenghu.
Not on this forum, but you are misreading the policy. It is nothing more than a continuation of the Reagan policy and it will continue.
BTW, the poll numbers are due to gas prices. Bush can and will turn this against the Dems, but I doubt it will do any good.
Some things may be the same..but some things have gotten way worse!
I didn't say Bush was responsible for high gasoline prices. High prices make people grumpy and they take it out on a President's job ratings.
I think the poll numbers are a representation of several things combined..and immigration, etc.
He's appears unable..or unwilling to do anything about..
Over here...
On the worry wart side you have a military growth spurt in China, but recently they have been trying to cut back on numbers of soldiers on the payroll. They use the military as a employment service, as do most commie or dictatorship governments, but they are not yet flexing muscle in any major or minor way...just the usual Taiwan stuff.
The most worry is that they are investing heavily in South America and trying to take that market from us. They are being a bit too successful at it. The game is that they need us, and we need them and that is not going to change, but relations will get dicey from time to time, as they always have been.
China is very resistant to change, but I think they know they must change or their own people will have the Chinese government for lunch.
Not a problem. I didn't make myself clear, since the other items on the list were things Bush does bear some responsibility for.
Did you see..the woman today who heckled Hu..is going to be charged with "Intimidating a foreign official"
LOL he's been talking about it..and talking..and talking..
and if I didnt know better..it sounds like the exact same plan we got in the 80s.
We should be applauding it! LOL....
I am surprised that 33% of the American people approve of Bush's performance.
The rest of the second term is shot all to hell.IMO
Your loyalty is admirable, but I don't know many conservatives who think he is doing a good job, including myself. I think Bush is a good guy, but I can longer say he is doing a good job.
I've seen all this before.
The story will get worse and I already know the ending. It happens every 15 years or so.
1976, 1992 and now 2006-08.
History always repeats.
A significant number of those polled do not have enough sense to come in from the rain. [That's about as nicely as I can say it]
