Towelie's Memoirs are chosen for Oprah's Book Club in "A Million Little Fibers" - an all-new episode of South Park premiering tonight, Wednesday, April 19 at 10:00 P.M. on Comedy Central. Check here for rerun times.
Towelie gets over his drug addiction and writes a moving book about his experiences. Thanks to Oprahs support, the book becomes a best seller and his story inspires millions to turn their lives around. However, when hes caught in a lie by the grand dame of daytime television, Towelies old habits start to look mighty appealing.

Can someone give me a nutshell background on this "Towlie" character? I've only been watching South Park for a little over a year... I haven't seen this character yet. I have a bit of catching up to do... ;-)

Towelie is a genetically engineered towel that finds his way to South Park and our four favorite foul mouthed brats. He helps them get their Game Sphere back after the people who made him take it away from them. Towelie can only use his special powers of remembering when he "gets high"
