TEEN WAS SEEN WITH NATALEE-HOTEL TAPE SHOWS ARGUMENT WITH MYSTERY MAN
New York Post ^ | 4-18-06

According to what Holloway's friends have told authorities, the blond-haired, blue-eyed van Cromvoirt was seen with their classmate after she left van der Sloot - the pals say they saw them in the Holiday Inn casino together. But when the casino's video surveillance tapes were turned over to police, investigators could find no sign of Holloway and van Cromvoirt, the source noted.

Van Cromvoirt's father is the security expert in charge of video surveillance at the hotel.

Aruban authorities are also scrutinizing a surveillance tape taken earlier on May 30 that shows Holloway arguing with a light-haired young man in a jewelry store in the Wyndham Hotel, according to the source.

They're trying to determine if the man is van Cromvoirt.

A source said police records indicate that "Natalee told her mom and others she was in love with a blond-haired, blue-eyed Dutch kid."

Holloway's mother assumed the youth was van der Sloot, though he has darker hair.

I never understood why they have not made a stink about those poor innocent black guys that were initially hauled off

Those black guys got swooped up immediately, didn't they.

Do I detect a bit of sarcasm?

Holloway's family made a big mistake by accusing anyone of anything till the police had the chance to investigate, for some reason they picked on Joran from day one and held on like bull dogs. They had us all convinced that he was public enemy #1. If they had not done that this case would have been solved a year ago already.

"Oh please now from the USA people are "sure" two people on Aruba knew each other and are involved in a murder conspiracy."

Really. Aruba has a population over 70,000. I've lived in several cities of that size. Did I know everyone there? Hardly. Heck, I lived in a town of just 5000 most of my life, and maybe knew a couple hundred people there.

I didn't miss your point. I don't know what makes some stories grab headlines more than others. But I certainly don't begrudge the parent's of this case, the spotlight on their daughter -
I think it's shameful that people resent it - if people don't like it, maybe they should just say a prayer, or if prayer isn't an option, just skip by it - why be hateful?

I remember two Black men were jailed and released. The case exposes racism on Juran's part. Why would he do that.

Because he was innocent, and wanted the police to look somewhere else? I just love how the chattering masses here immediately stretch to this must be a conspiracy which includes this new suspect...

The Natalee Holloway case is extremely important! It makes Iran and Iraq look insignificant by comparison.

I agree! Why haven't we sent in troops? We can whip them Arubbans (Arubians?)

You interpret my question about the Media Coverage as not caring and being 'hateful'.

You couldn't be more wrong!!

What do you say to those other parents of missing children when all they see is Natalee 24/7?

Do you not care of other missing persons? Just Natalee?
Why do you not care about other missing children? Why so hateful?

I don't buy Vandersloots innocence. He's done nothing but lie, starting with a lie that sent two innocent men to jail. If he didn't do it he knows something.

Perhaps this new guy is a fallguy, much as the felon who admitted to killing the police chief and the mob boss to get Michael Corleone off the hook.

For sure. I believe it's more than "he knows something". For him to lie over and over, he would have to be involved with her death or disposal. (IMO)

>>>You mean the media may have *!#@ up this case like they do everything else?<<

I don't know about that. I'm not sure I'd believe anything until Greta Van Cistern gives it her blessing.

Most likeley two crimes were committed.

Vandersloot has sex with her and abandoned her on the beach. He was afraid of being accused of rape.

The new suspect most likely raped and killed her. And Daddy cleaned up all the loose ends.

TY. All these theories are possible, but it really annoys me when people are so sure "no one would act like that..." etc. Maybe Joran raped and strangled Natalee. And maybe they were both drunk and he just left her on the beach and somebody else killed her. How can we know?

There was not long ago a story posted here two scum in a fishing boat decided they felt like raping somebody on one of these islands, pulled the boat up on a beach and dragged away some beautiful rich tourist. They only caught the murderers because her cell phone was on and someone heard the whole thing. Wierd stuff happens.

What was the Kalpo Brothers story? Did they claim to have dropped Natalee off at the Hotel or did they say they left her on the beach?

Actually, I do remember it being mentioned earlier in the investigation, but it was not pursued by the media or by the parents. I also remember a report earlier in the investigation that police found "male DNA" on Natalee's toothbrush, DNA that did not match that of any of the suspects. Again, that matter was not pursued and disappeared very quickly from media coverage.

Is Fox News doing round-the-clock coverage on this? Team coverage?

Fox News never stopped doing round-the-clock coverage of Aruba. That's the primary reason I rarely watch them anymore.
