Our painting the door and mailbox was like rubbing salt into the wound. They had lost so much money, along with their pride, that they hated every waking morning. One man lost his marriage over his gambling.

One of the Packer fans told me just before he left that he had a funny feeling the Broncos were going to cover the 14 point spread...and that he should bet accordingly. I agreed with him; But, his emotions were with the Packers. Bye-Bye Ben Franklin!

I went to my sister and B-I-L's for that game. We tapped the keg, just to make sure the beer was fresh, of course, at 10 AM. By the time the game started, there had to be about 20 people in the living room, 19 of whom were pulling for the Broncos, and one obnoxious Packer fan. He kept getting quieter and quieter during the fourth quarter as Elway drove them down the field for that winning touchdown. We floated the keg once the game was over and passed out. Nasty hangover, but a great game!

I remember walking outside after the game was over and listening to all the noises of celebration. I just stood there, listened, and smiled. I'll never forget that moment.

We had a similar kind of celebration when LSU won the BCS a couple of years ago, but that would be nothing compared to the Saints actually winning a Super Bowl. But until then, the Broncos and Elway knocking off the Pack is probably the wildest Super Bowl ride I've ever seen.
