I agree, and thanks for the warm welcome!

I turn 47 in a couple weeks. Maybe that is why I sometimes like them and other times do not. I'm not quite young enough. They made their point... as long as the viewer knows what they wanted to put in there.

I think this is the whole "squeaky wheel gets the grease" phenomenon. Christians don't riot and burn things when Jesus is mocked, so networks are less afraid to show it. However, a huge stir is caused when Mohammed is shown, so the networks don't allow this because they don't want to lose ad revenue. I know this is an unpopular opinion here, but I don't think Comedy Central is pro-Muslim. I just think that since Muslims complain so loudly, it hurts Comedy Central more (most likely in the form of reduced ad revenue) to mock Islam.

Oh no! Now you've done it! You're going to get us all killed! *Quickly buries head in sand.

With the exception of the profanity and toilet humor they say the stuff the rest of us think.

And the older folks among us really appreciated the "salmon" Rushdie helmet.

I just found out that indeed Matt & Trey did show Mohammed in the show last night. Mohammad is pictured in the group scene shot at the end of the opening credits.

Also to be abundantly clear, during the show it was an Al Queda-produced video that showed Jesus, George Bush, etc. defacating on an American flag.

Admittedly, they sometimes go too far and I can feel pretty uncomfortable. But they usually have a good point.

Besides that. It was the Muslim retaliation that depicted both Jesus and the flag being defecated on.
How true is that. Daily occurrence.

Comedy Central isn't pro-Muslim, in fact, they're pusses and are scared of it obviously.

The real punchline was that CC showed a deliberately disgusting bin Laden- and Zawahiri-inspired crap scene at the end but censored what might or might not have even been a depiction of Mohammed. Point made and driven home with a sledgehammer.
I'll repeat a point I made arguing the issue with a liberal co-worker this morning - why is a right-wing knuckledragger like me the only one defending the First Amendment here? Why does it take a South Park to say what "progressives" ought to be screaming from the rooftops?

That's something Christians should be proud of, IMHO. The fact that Comedy Central is afraid to show Muhammad's image should be a source of embarrassment to Comedy Central and Muslims, not something Christians should envy.

t could be interesting to see what they could do in a fresh series. Make a series from "Team America" maybe?

They don't care.
Most of their behavior is designed to reinforce group think.
They don't give a damn about what a bunch of infidels think.

How do they know what Muhammad looks like? His picture has been forbidden for so long, Matt and Trey should show it anyway and claim" it's not Muhammad, it's Abdhul."
