I think this is the whole "squeaky wheel gets the grease" phenomenon. Christians don't riot and burn things when Jesus is mocked, so networks are less afraid to show it. However, a huge stir is caused when Mohammed is shown, so the networks don't allow this because they don't want to lose ad revenue. I know this is an unpopular opinion here, but I don't think Comedy Central is pro-Muslim. I just think that since Muslims complain so loudly, it hurts Comedy Central more (most likely in the form of reduced ad revenue) to mock Islam.

That's something Christians should be proud of, IMHO. The fact that Comedy Central is afraid to show Muhammad's image should be a source of embarrassment to Comedy Central and Muslims, not something Christians should envy.

As far as I can tell, no one is saying that CC is pro-Muslim!

Parker and Stone's message was about defending free speech even in the face of harsh criticism, even threatened violence.

And how exactly would CC lose ad revenue? You do know how few devout Muslims live in this country, right? And how many of these few do you think even watch a show like South Park to begin with?

Lost ad revenue? lol. Yeah that is it. Why offend 1% when you can go after 90%?

Because muslims have such a good sense of humor and they (Comedy Central) would lose the millions of muslim viewers "/sarc off"

How many fundamentalist islametards do you think are currently enjoying the scatological humor and biting social commentary of South Park? Do you think a boycott by them would seriously affect South Park's ratings and ad rates?

The Comedy Central executives simply saw the Danish cartoonists and newspaper executives receive fatwas and they crumbled.
