Alot of Americans are ticked off with their leaders today. I havent come across many who are for it.
I didn't click on it but if it was legitimate it would be:
Congress.gov
No, but when you send a letter thru Congress.org, it goes to your congresscritter. Of those who send a letter to their congressman thru congress.org, it is currently 80% for border security and reducing immigration, and 20% for amnesty and increasing legal immigration. I have little doubt that it is probably pretty close to the same averages thru any such service. How effective it is, I cannot say, but I think if I were a congressman, I would take notice of the percentages, that is unless I had already pillaged and looted and been paid off enough that I was ready to get sent home.
I am most of the conservative Kansans have both e-mailed and called Brownback. Unfortunately, he doesn't give a rat's pootie as to what the people think who worked and donated to get him into office.
Yes, they do. I called my Senator this evening, his voice mail box is full.
Dear Senator,
WHAT PART OF "NO AMNESTY" DOES OUR SENATE LEADERSHIP NOT UNDERSTAND?
Republicans by vast margins oppose amnesty. So, why are Senators selling out our country?
Please vote "NO" on the amnesty provisons in the immigration bill and support a filibuster. NO BILL is better than a bill that rewards lawbreaking and entering.
This 5-year 'compromise' amnesty plan is idiotic.
Just as lax border enforcement gives the counterfeiters
a living making fake social security cards, now the amnesty will give the fraudsters a living making fake utility bills from 2000.
ITS THE STUPIDEST OF MANY STUPID IDEAS FROM DC THAT I'VE HEARD.
Immigration problem can be solved if DC just simply makes the decision to enforce the law. Support border security, internal enforcement of immigration law, and use of state and local resources to deport illegal immigrants; oppose chain immigration, the 'hidden' amnesties in immigration law, and most of all, any and all amnesty provisions.
Please support Kyl-Cornyn and declare opposition to any and all amnesty, whether from Sen Hagel, or McCain-Kennedy, or Sen Spectre. that would be helpful.
Here is email/webform contact information for every Senator ...

Just say NO to amnesty.

I am curious: Why don't they care about emails?
I have called them as well because I am livid about the way they keep ignoring we who pay all the bills and catering to the people who are bleeding us dry -- and aren't even citizens, to boot!
Seems only the suicide belts are missing."
Uncanny, ain't it??
California is doomed to be a future battleground -- literally.
Because they're oftentimes generated at an anonymous whim, or are the preferred form of mass-mailing efforts. They're free, which means the sender only sacrificed the few seconds it took to type some incoherent, illegible babble about some issue, and you can't emphasize anything over email.
Meanwhile, with a phone call, you not only tie up a staffer, but the staffer gets an earful of a living, breathing person who decided an issue was important enough to take the time out of his day to call, pay long distance, wait on hold, and finally yell at someone.
Just like how a boss' reprimand has more effect when done verbally, so too does a voter complaining to a Congressthing.
Thank you. That makes sense.
They don't understand the "NO" part. But, take heart. At least they understand the OTHER half of it. And after all, isn't "compromise" what it's all about?
So, we wanted "NO AMNESTY", and we walk away with HALF of what we wanted. I'd call that a good compromise, wouldn't you?
Gag....
During the Impeachment fiasco, I did a lot of calling to my "critters" in DC and Atlanta.
I kept hearing that for every telephone call they get, they estimate there are about 300 other people who care about as passionately about a given issue, but, for whatever reason, can't manage to call- too shy, too cheap, can't find the time, etc.
So view your call as having a 300:1 multiplyer.
Great link WSOG
"So, we wanted "NO AMNESTY", and we walk away with HALF of what we wanted. I'd call that a good compromise, wouldn't you?"

LOL... I have to laugh at that, because with this dumb compromise I almost think that's the way they are thinking these days.
Its so absurd its Seinfeldesque.
LOL, yeah his post struck me the same way. :)
BTW, I was watching CNBC yesterday and they had some "expert economist" as a guest. They were discussing the compromise (sell-out) that had come up. When he was asked about whether Americans should be bothered about it, he went into a long, convoluted explanation as to why immigrants were not REALLY depressing our wage scales. Then not two minutes later, she asked him how he thought the business community would respond to the compromise about more visas and he said "Business will love this, because it helps them to keep labor costs down".
Say WHAT?!?! How is it keeping labor costs down and not suppressing workers wages? Most blatant example of speaking with a forked tongue I ever saw.
It's simple. When your job has been lost, it's no longer a question of comparative wages. On a spreadsheet, your "wages" would be NULL, thus invalidating the calculations.
See how simple it is when you look at it "correctly"?
(Wake me up when this nightmare is over...)
Great way to pass the buck on into infinity because we are paying for the primary, secondary, and college education of illegals with federal, state, and local tax money. While at the same time outsourcing American jobs overseas. While at the same time importing highly educated Asians for work "Americans don't want to do" such as engineering and computer science.
Likewise.
