There! Finally getting around to illegal immigration!
And next we have a Dinklemeyer:
This is continuing the Pig Acceptace story, in which, as that name indicates, the talking pig is fighting for acceptance in the Dinklemeyer household.
I had decided to change Freddys look just a little bit and give him long pants instead of shorts. But it really probably wasnt worth drawing attention to like that.
Nevertheless, this strip does sum up the pigs personality pretty well.
This is about to turn into one of the goofiest storys Ive ever written. Should be great!

Hey Dolly.
Yes, the thread tonight should be quite a blast.

Sometimes, when it gets real frustrating, I crumple up the paper and throw it away out of anger.
The Susan Sarandon picture I drew for Tuesday was like that. I must have killed four sheets up paper before finally getting it right!

Good news. Bad News.
The good news is, they really really like me and said that they want to bring me back for the the second and final interview. The bad news is that they said I have at least four other people to compete with for the next round. That could just be a number that they just pulled out of their butt to make me think I have to compete for it harder, or whatever, or to see if I lose interest. Who knows.
I'll keep you updated when I know more.

You should give us some sort of virtual tour. What a thread that would be!

Well no matter how you look at it, they are at least interested in you. So much so that they will test your loyalty before you even start.
I go driving around. I see a place with a "Now Hiring" sign out in front. I go in and ask about it. They say "We're not hiring. It's just company policy to keep the sign up at all times."

I get the same song and dance from temp agencies. They advertise fake, non-existent opportunities to get you in the door, tested, and all sign up. Then when you finally sit down to discuss the "advertised position" they tell you "it was just filled" and then present you with a bunch of crappy, half-ass opportunities that I would have never bothered to come in for.
It's called 'bait-n-switch' and it's illegal, but the agencies get away with it every single day. It's very very very frustrating.
To: Maximus_Ridiculousness
Wow, that's awful.
So THAT's what "Bait and switch" means. I've always wondered about that.

Still here, but I have to change clothes now and head out in five minutes. The party is supposed to go for several hours (5-8) my time, so I hope to be back by 8:30pm to start freeping again.
See you in a few hours!
To: pcottraux
Oh, would you please say "Hi!" to everyone for me in the weekend thread and let them know I won't be in for a few hours?
To: Maximus_Ridiculousness
I will. 8:30, let's see...I believe that will be 11:30 where I am.
