"Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy.
The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Share this with women who are good apples, even those who have already been picked!
Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with."
I received this commentary in an e-mail. I felt it was truely fitting to send to my daughter who has accomplished more in her 29 years than most men or women have in their entire lives. I also felt it was appropriate for Ann and Laura, two more of my heroines.
Is Maureen Dowd still sending out those anonymous e-mails?
I see a few rules violations...
"Is Maureen Dowd still sending out those anonymous e-mails?"
Now that's a ROTTEN apple!
I had to take care of some family matters earlier and didn't have time to read and/or respond to the reply posts.
I find it hilarious that some of these FINOS (FReepers In Name Only) appear to be threatened or feel they are the object of some feminist joke. I'm glad my daughter never brought one of these woosie whiners home to meet dad.
Look at the statistics and the moaning about men who won't "commit." Believe me, the pleasure is theirs, not yours.
Hence, I'm single.
