Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!

Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger

I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.

Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.

Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!

Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.

We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

*sigh*

I'm just about ready for bed, and (after turning off the tv) I realized that someone is holding a drum practice down the road.

Since it's almost midnight, I better at least attempt sleep. Hopefully they'll quit the drums soon! Good night!

If you support communist murderers then it is you who are on are on the wrong website. It is not a matter of perspective it is a matter of fact.

This is not the thread for it.

Go away.

"The British have been terrorists to the Irish for years."

Need I point out that this phrase is an utter irrelevancy? Nevertheless it has been uttered.

The discussion, which apparently triggered your response, was an admonition to avoid supporting a group which had apparently aligned itself with terrorists.

Whatever your personal investment in the issue, or the group in question, I am sure that you will agree that the innocent have a right to be unharmed.

So the actions of the British are not pertinent, nicht wahr?

Justifying violent action against innocent people is the behavior of terrorists, and supporting that action by any means, including adopting stirring music to cheer them on, is indefensible to a gentle thinking civilized person.

Moreover, bringing up past actions as a reason to do knowingly wrong things locks you into an inescapable cycle of revenge strike for revenge strike. We need to move beyond that.

Like the mythical Vulcans, we need to surrender, and sunder, our emotions to the logic of cooperative Enterprise and mutual benefit.

The formulation is starkly simple: Either you are with us, or you are with the Terrorists.

We may disagree, and no doubt we should. But let us disagree agreeably.

It's the civilized thing to do.

This morning began well and can only improve when the "honey dipper" gets here. Our tanks were not designed for a family of 6.

Other than that, the day should be fairly normal: Lessons in the AM, Lenten Supper this evening, and plenty of stuff for me to learn and do in between.

One of my projects in the coming year is to become more self-sufficient. That means, to me at least, learning all the stuff that I don't know about cars (buying/maintaining), insurance (all forms), finances (the stuff that hubby is currently responsible for), etc. I'm also drafting a resume and looking about to see what kinds of things I'd like to do, in addition to what I'm already doing. It's a year for self-improvement on a grand scale.

What are all of you doing today? Especially you, Steve, now that you are no longer MIA in AZ.

I met up with the IRA in South America where they were teaching other communist terror groups the trade.

While the perspective of the IRA by many is of a young man with a cute accent who had suffered some horrible wrong the reality is that they are a communist group who are dedicated to spreading that philosophy through out the world by terror.

One of their trainee's blew up the free clinic where my mom worked. I doubt anyone in that neighborhood could have told you a single thing the IRA stood for or against. The closest thing we had to British were the teabags. But simply by being there we were providing people with hope, care and a chance of a better life. And that made them less likely to embrace communism. So we had to go.

To assume the IRA is about Ireland is the same as assuming that Hamas is about the West Bank. It is a label they slap on to try to sell their actions to the credulous. Bottom line is that their goal is the take over of the world by their respective philosophies.

I'm a "johnny come lately" to this particular discussion. May I ask why you were in South America?

Good morning. We're doing some schoolwork and housework, and later we'll take Sally to gymnastics. Vlad is still fat.

Good luck with your self-improvement plans - all useful skills!

My parents were and still are missionaries.

I was one for three years and my brother was one for fifteen.

We were in South America, Japan and East Africa.

I really hate clocks, today! When the entire world has digital clocks, why do second-graders still have to learn to tell time on an analog dial? It is an unspeakable pain in the caboose!

I had a great uncle who was a missionary to South America. He and his wife worked in Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Nicaragua...I don't know everywhere they went 'cuz I was pretty young when they were still in the field. I remember times when they'd be home on furlough and we'd all have dinner over at my grandparent's place; we just gave them the floor and they talked all afternoon and into the evening about the things they'd experienced.

And to complicate the matter further, they have to learn to tell time using analog clocks with Roman numerals instead of Arabic ones!

LOL!! I've asked that same inscrutable question.

Now, here's another one; right out of thoday's headlines (thuoght it'd make great fodder for levity):

"Why is the Mafia associated with the Garbage Industry?"

Maybe we ought'a call it "Big Trash".

And some that just have little lines marked on them, with no numbers at all!

I'm about ready to trade these kids in for a new batch! I have had much better mornings than this.

I think it's because they can use the threat of not picking the trash up as a means of extortion, whether on a neighborhead level or city-wide.

How 'bout the ones that just have a dot instead of a twelve and no other markings whatsoever.
