I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.

Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.

Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!

Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.

We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

Oooo, an excellent question, indeed. In the context of Waking the Dead, it is the Devil; our one great adversary. Beyond the context of the book, though, it could be ego. There is certainly no shortage of people going about the world in fear of their own possible success; those who, as Ralph Waldo Emerson put it, "sneak about and deny [their] own name." FYI!

The Republican Party has released some radio ads here is AZ and in NV directed to Hispanic listeners that say President Bush is very concerned about implementing immigration laws that are fair to all "honest" immigrants.

Maybe someone can find the article, but it would seem someone in the opposition wants the ads pulled, since no one is "running for office."

YES! Well stated. Eldredge doesn't bring up something "new"; he brings BACK some things that are old, but have been forgotten by many. One must wonder how such profound things came to be laid aside? One thing is sure, though, we can ill afford to be so clumsy in our handling of scripture.

Yepper...imagine the flap the DUmmies are going to create...

AZ might cave, but NV won't. They are always conservative where it counts, and because of the huge diversity of population, (mostly in Vegas and surrpounding areas) they know it will, in the long run, be beneficial to the employers all over the state.
