Ah, the joys of spring...things starting to grow, the arthritis backing off...and facing a move in three or four months.

Now comes the fun part. What crafting stuff to move, what to get rid of?

I'd like to ask for some help from you good folks.

I've been given a 4-harness loom that's been sitting in a garage for a while. I was told it will need reconditioning and minor repairs. Do y'all know of anyone in the Baltimore/Washingon area who I can hire to advise me? I'm DYING to learn how to use it but I can't take lessons until it's up-'n-running.

I need to run out now to pull hay off a pasture (don't ask) but I'll peek back in from time to time.

Knit on with your bad selves!

Hi, KAC!

No crafting for me this weekend...I'm up to my armpits in dirt and seeds getting a lot of my veggie seedlings started for the garden this upcoming season. :)

Maybe I'll crochet a little when I sit down for the evening. but I'm pretty sure I'll just be falling asleep, LOL!

You have my deepest sympathy. We did a major, two-household move last summer. NOT for the faint of heart. AND... we will be moving again later this summer, when the kids move into their new house. That's "new" as in NEW. They are having one built. :o)

Today the sewing room gets a spring cleaning and new furniture. All hail IKEA for storage storage storage. Might get the design wall mounted on the wall today. Maybe next weekend. I'd almost be ready to sew except for all the peat pots sitting on the sewing cabinet which is right by the sunniest window in the house. Heh.

That is just what hubby and I are going to be doing.....selling everything we can, giving away what we can't sell....buying a 5th wheel or trailer, packin up and travlin....when the storms are bad in Florida, we will go to Arizona....when things settle down in Florida, we'll go back....

What do I keep, what do I get rid of...oh my; oh my; oh my...

But you know, I can't wait...we have been wanting to do this for so long and now we can...

Hi, Knitting. I hate moving, so glad that a couple of my kids love to sort and organize. All have to do is stand there, and say, "Save that!" "No I might need that." "Don't throw that away!"

LOL I have no idea where they get their neat gene from, but I'm thankful for them! (The kids and the genes, lol)

I took my youngest to the airport yesterday afternoon to travel to Italy for a week with a friend and her school group. She called this morning to say the flight was overbooked so 14 of them spent the night in the Hilton and leave today for Europe, with 200 additional Euros in their pockets.

I spent this past month weaving camera straps and weaving and sewing totebags for her to take on the trip.

This week, I weave a shawl for a dear friend who is coming to visit in a month. It's out of silk and merino. I can't wait to start! :-)

I'm also doing a lot of narrow weaving on an inkle loom to make samples for some friends who are interested in some new designs.

Good afternoon, all!

I found out last week I'm going to be an aunt...three times over! My sil goes next week to see for sure, but she is possibly having triplets! So, I've sprung into action knitting blankets. At the pace I go I'll need the nine months to finish. LOL!
