Find a partner or grab your favorite beverage & listen to some Irish tunes .A couple of wave files - full-length, lilting, Irish melodies - they are so beautiful! I hope you can open them, or "save target as" to your hard drive and listen to them later.

Why Saint Patrick's Day?
Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck. Most importantly, to those who celebrate its intended meaning, St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
So, why is it celebrated on March 17th? One theory is that that is the day that St. Patrick died. Since the holiday began in Ireland, it is believed that as the Irish spread out around the world, they took with them their history and celebrations. The biggest observance of all is, of course, in Ireland. With the exception of restaurants and pubs, almost all businesses close on March 17th. Being a religious holiday as well, many Irish attend mass, where March 17th is the traditional day for offering prayers for missionaries worldwide before the serious celebrating begins.
In American cities with a large Irish population, St. Patrick's Day is a very big deal. Big cities and small towns alike celebrate with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green!

THAT is true. Tegan and Ace didn't let anyone push them about! I liked the Brigadier because he was all-business and was a nice foil for the Doctor's galavanting ways.

"Stitch" is the name of the genetic experiment 626, a fictional alien character from the Lilo & Stitch films and television program. Originally created to cause chaos across the galaxy, he is marked by his short temper and mischievous behavior, traits that endear him to his friend Lilo, who adopted him as her puppy dog...

Yep. I'm SICK OF ALL OF THIS MOVING! Other than New York, I have spent short stints in Miami, Chicago, and Seattle. I always wind up back home in New York. If I ever move again, it will be within a 30 mile radius of New York.

Okay. That is a Disney character, isn't it? I am an anime guy so I am not "hep" to the Disney stuff aside from Mickey and his mates.

A lot of the Disney animators are big anime fans. Bet you didn't know that. I love anime too. What are some of your favorites?
