Cheese Spill Backs Up Interstate 75 in Dayton Dated: 03/13/2006 12:43:01 AM Updated: 03/13/2006 11:51:05 AM

Police shut down lanes on Interstate 75 Sunday night, after an accident left the highway covered with cheese.

A semi truck lost its load of Velveeta cheese around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Cheese spilled out onto the southbound lanes of I-75 at the Main Street overpass in Dayton.

Traffic was backed up for about two hours before they could clean up the mess.

Cheese gives me backup, I'm not surprised it happens to highways too.

The spill did cause a muenster traffic jam, but now that they got the cars off the road, the cheese stands alone...

Not to nitpick, but Velveeta is definitely NOT cheese.

There's nothing cheesy about it and no true cheesehead would have Velveeta in their refrigerator.

This must have been a muensterous traffic jam. I camembert to even think about it.

No whey I can think of a cheese pun Gouda-nuff to compete with that. I cheddar to think of the mess this caused, but once it was a feta complis they had no choice but to clean it up.
