I got some wonderful scales at Walmart for under $30...they measure body fat % and hydration as well as weight.
OK, I have to admit, the first time I stepped on them I wanted to slit my wrists, but since then, they really have become a blessing.
My biggest help so far is keeping a food diary. It's shocking how much you eat when you aren't paying attention and keeping track. But just recording each meal (and calories, fat, fiber etc) has been a big help.
It's shocking how much you eat when you aren't paying attention and keeping track.
You are so right about that!
I don't know how it measures hydration, but it's been pretty on the money with mine. If you're dehydrated, your fat % goes up. That alone is enough to keep me drinking water :)!!!
I buy a lot of the weight watchers, lean cuisine, and healthy choice meals so I know exactly how much I'm eating for each meal.
Oh wow! I might have to check that out.
You have FR mail, BTW.
That's why I don't buy anything in boxes or bags.
Keeping track of what you're eating puts a new perspective on things.
Snow has stopped so I'll probably just take the dogs (aka: the dummies) for a long walk tonight, but I think I'll go for a run tomorrow. I've let myself go so much that I feel like I make the ground sound like Godzilla chasing Rodan, but who gives a crap! I wanna new swimsuit this year!!
LMAO!!!

That's a good idea. It's pretty much like being on Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig, I guess. Probably a lot less expensive, too.
Could you add me to your ping list please? :o)
That is really the trick. Keeping the calories at the right level is vital.
One good goal is that I promise to do some form of exercise every day.
Mon-wed-fri weights and sprints
tues-thurs light run 1/2 hr.
Sat-sun not sure about this. weekends are usually way too packed anyway.
Here's a link that might be helpful.

I'm trying to eat six meals a day that are between 200 and 300 calories each. My key is to make sure I'm getting enough protein.
LOL! I know what you mean. I hate the feeling of jiggling when I bounce. If it were my boobs, that'd be one thing, but my belly, that's another.
I think so. Lean cuisine makes the best meals I've found. Weight watchers does make some great deserts.
Thanks!
You're added!
Keeping track is what is essential to Weight Watchers success. Once you do, you see how large the portions you ate before really were and it's shocking. Makes you feel like a big fat pig at first, but then you realize how much less you can live with.
