It's 4:35 AM Eastern Time...Why are you all up so early ( or so late?) and on-line?

I'm here because my daughter had a wreck on her bicycle about 5 pm and is now at the emergency room with her mom. She seemed at first to be okay, but from her symptoms I now believe she has some internal injuries, very possibly a spleen injury. I am definitely worried given the apparently serious nature of the injury.

The hospital emergency room was jam-packed, and at 330 am they still had not seen a doctor, but it was looking close. I am waiting to hear something more from her mom. They should probably be with a doctor now.

Any prayers from freepers would be appreciated.

Glad to hear Clemens is looking good. I felt for him struggling with that hamstring in the WS.

I'm excited about the Astros' prospects this year, but I also keep a little caution due to years and years of disappointments and heartbreaks. LOL

I AM thrilled that we FINALLY won a pennant, though. We're moving in the right direction.

Got no woman to keep me occupied; work is a bitch; its hailing outside and another thunderstorm is passing over my home and after Thursday's tornado am a little edgy;I got heartburn and the cat is talking to his friend on the outside. So with all of that, FR is my only haven.

You got it. I pray there are no serious internal injuries and that she has a speedy and full recovery.

For reasons which probably make sense to a dog, but which escape me, my old dog likes to stick her cold muzzle in my face at about 3 AM, and once I'm up and "on duty," go back to sleep.

Luckily, I've always been one of those rare people who can get by on 4 or 5 hours sleep, so it really doesn't bother me, aside from the general annoyance of getting rousted by the bloody dog.

Prayers from here for your daughter. Hoping all is well and a quick recovery from the accident.

Our brand new grandson has bronchitis. He's getting nebulizer treatments, antibiotics, and prednisone. Night before last at midnight, he had trouble breathing, so I went to their house to babysit, and was up all night, while he got his upper airways irrigated with saline.

Baby okay, doing much better yesterday, I finally get to sleep in the afternoon, slept through and now I'm wide awake.

What else can you do when the dogs DON'T want to go out, the house is already clean, and everyone is sound asleep, but FReep?

I'm going to start the coffee now. Have a cup, fetch the paper for the wife, (she's still asleep). I'll go for my walk in a little bit. Later today, it's off to the barbershop for a hair cut.

usually am sitting by the crib when he wakes up in the morning, obviously something that never happens to him at home..and he opens his eyes, sees me, and gives his big smile...

Nothing like it in the world, is there! :) That look in my granddaughters' eyes when I'm there when they awaken is worth, well, its beyond worth and a value can't be placed on that "look".. and that "gammy!" word and smile.

Unusual for me to be up this early on a Saturday morning, but heartburn (from late night Oreos and milk) and the kitty woke me up.

I'll go back to sleep until 9:00.

Thanks, guys. Your prayers are really very much appreciated.

I just got word back from my wife that our daughter has damage to her pancreas from the bicycle accident. Torn, bleeding were words she used.

I don't know enough yet to know what this means, but I think that if things were bad enough it could potentially mean very major health effects on our daughter for the rest of her life, especially diabetes if she were to basically lose this organ.

I'm hoping it's not very bad but I just don't know. So your prayers are definitely appreciated.
