We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The New York Times is running an article this morning that suggests evidence shows that abortion rates in minors drop only slightly if parents are told about it. The article insinuates parents, therefore, need not be told.
AT&T (or what's left of it) and BellSouth have agreed to merge.
Warren Buffett is pushing up the price of hurricane insurance saying it will become more costly due to global warming.
Airports may be the next "issue" after ports. Turns out that the security and airport management at Indianapolis International is run by a foreign company--though reports don't say which country.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
And I'm only planting roma tomatoes. They aren't the greatest, but I can count on 'em. They Are Always The Same. Very important in my business.

#1 crop....'maters....pear, plum...you name it...;-)
there's not much water in a Roma. I still prefer the good old acid filled, Rutgers. But they're difficult to find and I just don't have time to grow my own plants.
For sauces...yes. For mater samiches...the juicier the better. Let it all run down your arm to your elbow. :-)
LOL! What is left over after you filet a roma tomato? Tomato guts. "Hey Chef? What are we doing with the tomato guts today?!"
/johnny
Roma Tomatoes, Bell peppers (especially red and yellow), cliantro (a given), Thyme, Garlic, Basil, Oregano (mexican), Parsley, Chives, Green leaf lettuce (probably a bad decision), zuchinni, yellow squash, and jalapeno (a given).
Some will work better than others. I may also add musk-melon (cantaloupe, but it's not) to the list. It does well here in the hot summers, and the flavor is good.
/johnny
That's a good one.
How're you doing Granny? I can imagine with elections coming up you're in high gear. Tomorrow I work one of the voting booths in town.
I love mater samiches. But my upper and lower teeth don't meet in the front. I cannot take a bite out of a sandwich without chomping it with my molars. More than once I've taken a bite into a wonderful tomato only to pull it out of the bread. So embarassing!
Life is nutz right now (I am still at work). Getting the candidates to do what they're supposed to do to get their campaigns up and running is not always as easy task.
Some times I am frantic, chasing folks here and there, holding their feet to the fire. Very few people understand what they're getting into when they agree to run for office the first time.

Ocassionally, I still call counsilman RD, and apologize for talking him into running. He still rants and calls me names. But, he's making Garland, Texas a more Constitutional place to live.
/johnny
I hope the good Counselor accepts your apology.
I'm heading off to bed now. I'll see y'all again in the AM.
Good night, hon...see you in the morning....sleep tight.
Rest Well, dear FRiend.
I presume that you know to go easy on the zuchinni and yellow squash or they will take over your neighborhood and produce enough to feed half of Texas. When we had a garden, we quickly learned not to plant but a hill or two of those prolific veggies. Our friends and neighbors began running away screaming when they saw us coming, realizing that we probably had more squash to give them.
It's all the rage.

Sorry for the belated reply; I meant that, like a typical leftist, he buys into junk science when it suits his political ends, and he's a man who doesn't follow rules who believes others have to follow them. In other words, one set of rules for him and everybody else.
He hates it, but he does it.
That's the kind of politician I can respect.
