I suppose Hollywood will try to find some no-talent replacements.
Yep, waiting for #3. Sorry to see it was him. He gave my faimily many hours of very good entertainment.
RIP Marshall McCloud.
These were three great actors. RIP
Quite a few people have.
I never dreamed it would've been Dennis. I thought maybe Glenn Ford.
Gunsmoke
Bit part in Touch of Evil (They got another think commin!)
Gentle Ben
McCloud
Duel
I jusr realized, on the detective series with different stars each week, only COLOMBO is still kicking.
Rock Hudson, McMillan and wife
Richard Boone, Heck Ramsey
Dennis Weaver, McCloud
Peter Falk, Colombo.
I personally didn't care for the shows as they never missed a chance to denigrate handgun ownership. (Rifles were not a target then)
Gunsmoke....We were little kids and had to go to bed....but,as if they didnt know...we sat at the top of the stairs and listened....
Daren, Don, and Dennis... it was a bad week for "D"s.
I remember that Dennis Weaver came to my high school probably 4 years ago to talk to our entire high school about the use of soybeans as an alternative fuel source. We didn't realize how big of a star he was or used to be. However, we did all enjoy when he began to tell us all to question authority. It was definitely an interesting memory to have.
They don't happen in 3's. We just like to count them in threes.
It's kind of like a "triangle of death" thang.
Who were the other 2 when Ronald Reagan died? Johnny Carson? Gilligan?
....going downhill rapidly....ain't I?
First Don Knotts and now Dennis Weaver. I have the whole Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith collections. Raised my kids on these along with Leave It to Beaver.
Has anybody seen the movie Time Changer? Watched it twice this weekend; just about the best Christian movie I have ever seen. I recommend it without reservation.
I just heard on Fox News that Dennis Weaver has passed away. Anyone else hear it? This is number 3. Daren McGaven, Don Knotts, and now Dennis Weaver.
I suppose Hollywood will try to find some no-talent replacements.
I find it most curious that all three had names that began with the same letter.
I am used to Hollywood celeb dying in groups of 3, which has happened many times, altho I certainly don't know why.
The t names thing is really strange, tho.
I will really miss Dennis Weaver, except for some of his enviro ideas. His unique house that he built with discards surely isn't the first one I have seen. When I was very young in Madison, Wis., the house next door to us was built out of concrete and bottles laid on their sides. It was very well naturally insulated, in a very cold climate. Don't know if it is still there.
Old Chester joke. Chester comes running into town with out a stitch of clothing on. Matt asks him what the hell is he doing. Chester say Miss Kitty came up to him and said, Chester, this is something I've always wanted to do and she rips off all her clothes. Then she rips off all Chester's clothes and says, "Go to town, Chester!" And Chester says, "So here I am, Matt."
There it is. Number three. RIP Mr. Weaver.
