ive ben here all morning louking 4 cat photos. decided 2 sine up 2 see if my luck wouud change. will my luck chnage?

neway i just c lots of talk abot busch. i am big ted kennedy fan. maybe i wont fit in, excpet 4 liking cats?

can some1 link 2 some photos are or post some cat photos. i reallie wont to make this werhthwhiile.

I never understand the point of just reading the denouement of a novel, while skipping everything that led up to it.

I guess some people just have insatiable curiosity and very limited attention spans.

Sometimes, my own attention span is compromised, as is my comprehension and retention, and at those times, I just have to put the book down. It doesn't last more than a day or two, though, so that's good.

I began to read at an extremely early age, and when redhead and I were short people, we had read everything of value in "The Children's Library" and had to get permission from our parents to take books from "The Adult Library." (This was in a town of 4,000 people, though...and I doubt that there was even a book in the adult library that had a cussword in it...)

I've read in bed all of my life, so I doubt very much that I'll quit any time soon. And some days, I will go to bed just so I can read. ;o]

Reading the 'adult' books. LOL! I remember I bit off the 'Dune' trilogy (when it was still just a trilogy) when I was thirteen. I recall enjoying it, and I remembered enough that when the movie came out, I could follow the storyline fairly well. During high school and college, I had enough assigned reading to do that I had very little interest in any recreational reading. I never could bring myself to finish 'Wuthering Heights'.

After that, I discovered non-fiction and seldom take time for anything else unless it's among the acknowledged classics of literature or something one of my kids wants read to them.

"Wuthering Heights???" I scorned most of the "required reading" and just took notes from my more sheep-like friends. I was so far ahead of most of the classes (often the teachers, as well) when it came to books that it wasn't even funny. I mean, I worked in the school library when I was 13...

I have an awful lot of non-fiction as well. Some classics, some theology, biography, lots of history... kinda like a mini-reference library. I try not to accumulate too much because I have Wanderlust, and I move every three years or so...whether I'm forced to or not. :o]

But I HAVE to read.

My doctor just called and said Vlad's bilirubin level dropped 50% from last week, his other blood levels were normal, and his ultrasound showed a normal liver (and presumably other innards of a digestive sort.) She'll take another blood sample when he goes for his check up at the end of the month, just for luck.

Thanks to everyone for their advice and encouragement - now I must go email his grandmother :-).

Neither am I, except that having it in the blood indicates that the liver is not doing exactly what it's supposed to, so a high level is bad.

We needed to have Ana use a "Bili Blanket" for 3-4 days after we got her home from the hospitol. Her and Zon were having feeding issues and Ana was starting to look moderately jaundiced. Not feeding regularly impeded the start up of proper liver function due partially to dehydration, lack of proper enzymes, ect... Exposure to sunlight during the day and the bili-blanket (spooky looking blue glowing UV lights) for an hour or so at night, brought the bili levels down quickly. Related to hemoglobin break down in the liver.

Been fine ever since.
