Our general rule is no candy unless it's given to them by Der Prinz or me. And no food at all upstairs. (Ants.)

Ahhhh.....understandable. Do they at least get points (secret points, of course) for getting the candy past you two? ;)

Nope. I have no sense of humor about ants! They get a lecture about UnScoutly Behavior and a week of strict fasting ... depending on tomorrow's weigh-in results. For me, too, of course. I'm afraid Der Prinz will have to eat out, though!

Gah!!! No protein? The heck with candy bars, I'd be sneaking burgers on the side.

How the heck to you "stuff" a leaf? Are they that thick that you can slice them open and stuff things inside? Or would it be more appropriate to call them a "wrap"?

We had ants once. Orkin to the rescue. That, and Ana sits in a regular chair instead of a high-chair placed in a plastic swimming pool.

Woot.
Just completed the last part of the Dark Tower saga.
What a wild ride.

Personally, I loathe stuffed grape leaves. You use them as wraps.
Gyros, on the other hand! *fingers to lips in kissy motion of culinary perfection* LOVE, gyros!

I don't favor bugs in the house, either.
Der Prinz is not subject to the fasting regime?

No, he's in charge of himself. He's training for a marathon, so he's eating everything but his shoes and the gerbil. It's a real struggle to keep him from bringing too many snacks home!

I just went to the library and got Song of Susannah! I figured I'm about a week away from the end of the saga, give or take two days. Looking forward to the end, though I suspect "The End" will be a let down, and I'll have to find something else equally as "riveting."

I'm SO curious about your meeting with Bob! Did you have someone take a picture of you both? That would be fun for posting here!
When I get to Seattle, I'm hoping we all have lots of film! Hey! You may even be able to meet my son!! (Et al...)
Safe trip, you!

We went to a place called "Double TT Diner", sort of a local 50s retro place, rather fun. HUGE menu, way too much to choose from. And the portions were rather large (though I admit my appetite had been somewhat reduced a bit during the conference reception earlier). Good time!
But now I have to shut down and prepare to go... Ugh, it'll be 12 hours before I land in Seattle. *\:-(

:-)
It definitely didn't disappoint.
Without giving away any details, I have to say that I was pleased.
Well "pleased" isn't quite the word, but satisfied, with the conclusion.
Multiple conclusions, rather.
Ooh.
Bet you didn't see that one coming!

Since there are "multiple" stories in the saga, I would have to say, no, I'm not surprised that there are "multiple conclusions."
Most of the fun of the story is going from Chapter I to The End without skipping anything in the middle. (Although I have known people who have done just that...read the first and last chapters and call the book "read.")
Now I'm wondering why I'm sitting here and not reading...
