Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I think "Wicked" is supposed to be in Boston this Spring. Clare wants to go see it, so we might take a trip in to catch a matinee.

Dang! I missed it. I haven't listened to Rush much in the last few years. I didn't want to turn it on and disturb the kids doing their work, then my radio in the kitchen broke, so I've had to listen online, and I just forget most of the time.

If y'all are big LOST fans, the best website for it is here...
http://lost.cubit.net/
The "Investigations" link is the best. They put all the screen shots of cool things that happened that you might have missed, like what all that stuff was that was written on the blast doors. This is the best link I found for the blast doors...

The "Shoutbox" link is good too. It's the chat room where people discuss the show as it's happening. I like to read it after the fact. There's some cool clickie things in there too.

Mmm...I just finished a big bowl of pinto beans for lunch. Only thing that woulda made it better woulda been a big slab of jalapeno corn bread, but alas.
How about a cup of coffee?

I missed it - was out destroying the wetland that was developing in the pony's stall. :~D
Anything notable in the interview?

I didn't hear all of it. Just that they only have the story line about three weeks out.
A caller asked them why they kill off all the likeable people, like Tony, Michelle and Edgar. He said, and I thought it was a good response, that the show is about fighting the war on terror and in such a war there are real losses that hurt.
Another caller asked why Kim hated her dad so much. He basically said "Kim's had a lot to deal with." Heh...not calling her a spoiled beeyatch must be in her contract...

They always catch all the cool stuff. Everybody on there must have a DVR and sit around making stills of everything that happens. They catch stuff, like links between characters, that I would have never DREAMED of. I really liked the blast doors shot. There's some really STRANGE stuff on there. But then again, that shouldn't suprise me. It's a STRANGE show.

I was on my way over but Cartman started to follow and I didn't want him to be out by the road where we're gonna be diggin.
When I picked him up, I noticed he's got the same acne on his chin now that Homer had a couple months back. When we switched Homer to metal bowls because the plastic one gave him acne, we gave his old plastic bowl to the cats. This is the dangedest thing. Homer's cleared up mostly by itself when we switched him to metal... I didn't even give most of the antibiotic. I took the plastic away from Cartman, I'm gonna see if that's all it takes [can that really be it?] or if I have to take him in. This plastic acne thing is just really strange.

Anyway, I've got him closed up in the house now, he's in a fowl mood about that, but I'm on my way over.

You know, that could almost qualify as surreal art.
