IMAGINE I VISIT 20 OLD FOLKS HOMES A DAY AND PRESENT MY ARGUMENT? THINK THAT WILL BE EFFECTIVE? WHAT IF I INSTRUCT 100 PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF TO DO THE SAME FOR THE NEXT 10 DAYS? THINK THAT WILL ULTIMATELY HAVE AN EFFECT AND PREVENT THE UAE FROM CONTROLLING OUR PORTS? YOU BET YOUR LAST DOLLAR ON IT.
IT IS THE MILLIONS OF ELDERLY THAT CONTROL WHAT IS GOING ON THIS COUNTRY, NOT JACK ABRAMOFF OR THE OTHERS.
UAE CONTROLLING UNITED STATES PORT MANAGEMENT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. AND I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THE COAST GUARD WOULD BE THE SECURITY FORCE OF COURSE SO PLEASE DON'T DARE THROW THAT IRRELEVANT ARGUMENT IN MY FACE.
I am supposed to trust Peter Pace's statement that

I trust the President, Rummy, and General Pace to have a bit more knowledge about the situation than I do.

George W. Bush
Michael Chertoff
Peter Pace
Donald Rumsfeld
So I guess Congress no longer matters.
If there are no arabs we can trust, I guess we shouldn't be giving Iraqis guns and training, and certainly not be giving them the keys to their own country.
That whole idea of bringing democracy to the middle east must be fundamentally flawed. We should cut and run like Cindy Sheehan wants, I guess.
