Jane is certainly old enough to remember the Vietnam-era "Lubbock or Leave It" bumperstickers, so the statement may be Natalie's but the title is not. Doubt it'll show any respect for the South Plains, either.

Gee, I recall the Ditzy Chicks making a big deal about how they were leaving country music.
I still switch stations when they come on the radio (which isn't very often).

Natalie Maines has made it very clear of late that she could care less what the fans of Country Western music think. Her "in your face" attitude only reveals her juvenile feeling that the fans must accede to her wishes. I don't think they will.

I'm looking forward to the noise made when their albumn is released. It's going to be "pop", no doubt and we'll see just who embraces it.

Lloyd Maines - much more well-known than his daughter within Country Music circles - is from Lubbock. Much of the 'goodwill' she has received has come from him. Now that she is her own entity, she will have to live with her own words. That will not be easy, as Natalie has a great voice, but a very pedestrian mind.
Incidentally, has anyone ever noticed, that just in a photograph, you can tell that this chick has B!tch written all over her??????
