One day bragging to another admin assistant about how smart I was, I felt something rubbing against my ankles. I looked down...
my slip had slipped down and was around my feet.
I'm so smart!
Back in my younger, crazier days I got up one morning to get ready for work and packed my lunch while half awake.
Imagine my surprise when, at lunch that day with several co-workers, I pulled an ice cold Budweiser out of my lunchbox to drink.
Took me a while to live that one down.
Two words: Ross Perot.
:/
Many of you are already here - but I'd love to hear about your.... ahem... Blonde Moments....
Suffice it to say my entire life has been one huge blonde moment.
My kids& Hubby are ill, so last night we all piled into the big bed together, so I could keep an eye on everyone; About 2am, someone was cryng to go to the bathroom. I grabbed the first hot body that I came in contact with and hauled them to the bathroom. I ALMOST DROPPED MY ONE YEAR OLD INTO THE TOILET.
I have a preference for abstract/random. I'm usually consumed with making sure that everyone is happy and everything is moving smoothly, so I don't spend enough time on practical matters involving myself. I think this somewhat explains my myriad of blonde moments, including:
Going to work with my dress on backwards and inside-out.
Going to church in shoes that not only were of different colors but of different heel-heights.
Going places looking like Minnie Pearl with labels and price tags still affixed to my clothing. (Youd think Id check the mirror more often)
While at Universal Studios with my family, I apparently rode The Mummy but afterwards could not recall it at all. My son remembered all the details, but I couldnt remember a thing. I actually went to the doctor after this, thinking it was early Alzheimers, but the doctor told me that its a pretty common phenomenon. He said I was probably busy thinking about where we would eat, which ride could each child go on next, how long the drive home would be, etc., so I didnt retain anything of the ride.
My hubby is an abstract/sequential -- a bit of the absent-minded professor. My oldest son is the poster child for concrete/random. I don't see much hope for a concrete-sequential in the lot, which is too bad, because they always keep things in order. Sigh.
