I've enjoyed every blind date I've ever gone on. But then I'm a guy and usually don't have to worry about her being a stalker or something. If things don't work I just don't call her again. Use it as an opportunity to go to a new restaurant or whatever. There is no reason not to have fun. It's not like you ever have to see that person again.
Hello.Snowed in yet?
ROTFLOL!
"Read a newspaper or book during the meal. Ignore your date."
For some, this would be Truth-In-Advertising. Myself, I plan someday to have my bride sit beside me at the computer during meals while we browse FreeRepublic.... ;^)
And now, I'm off to a Christian Singles Valentines Dance in allegedly-fabulous Southern California!
I am taking Microsoft WORD because I have to and I am ready to tear up my textbook and its just a weekly assignment
Its just sooooo boring
Heh...I know of various couples who will post to one another even though they're in the same room. ;-)
And I admit it, I do the same with my roommate once in awhile.
But on a date, I'd think *discussing* books and newspapers would be more where it's at.
Enjoy the dance!
its snowing after raining all day
LOL
*laughs*
Maybe you shouldn't have asked him any questions :)
Hello, all, checking in!
I've been on lots of blind dates, but the worst one I went on, my best girlfriend in high school wanted to go out with this guy, and he wouldn't go out without his brother, so she talked me into going. We went to a drive-in movie, and my date didn't have any money to pay for him and me and my friend's date wouldn't pay (nice guy, huh?) so my date and I hid in the trunk of the car! I know! I was extremely stupid, but was long ago, and guys paid for the dates, girls didn't, and it would have been a long walk home.
On the subject of football, I'm excited for the Superbowl tomorrow! Nothing against Pittsburgh, and if they win I won't be unhappy, but I think it'd be cool for the Seahawks to get their first SB win!
I'm aboard!
I've had a couple dates like that...I don't know if that reflects badly on me or them...
Considering I haven't dated a conservative girl since at least 1999...I can't say I've ever done that!
Aah, yeah - that would be boring.
Hope you meet some lovely ladies!
Heh...my last real date wasn't much more recent than that. But I can dream, eh? ;-)
Well I dated a nominally conservative, but mostly apolitical woman from '01 to '03...then an avowed liberal, nutcase, public school teacher type from '04 till Christmas Eve of 2005 (she dumped me FYI...)
Hey all!
I have some lovely dating stories. Blind dates are SO much fun!
I see you talking about me... note me proving my point as I post this from across the room...
So...have you learned your lesson?
Just teasin'...though that's one reason I've not really dated. I wouldn't date someone who wasn't at least potentially a marriage partner, and that leaves out a lot of folks.
Oh well. Saves me some heartbreak, I figure!
