Reacting to pressure from Christian groups, NBC canceled an episode of "Will & Grace" that featured Britney Spears as a conservative who hosts a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's" on a Christian TV network.
NBC last week was forced to pull its highly touted new show "The Book of Daniel" because of charges its portrayal of Jesus was blasphemous
Spears was to appear as a sidekick to the regular character Jack, who hosts his own talk show on the homosexual network Out TV, which is bought by a Christian TV network. The episode was to air April 13, just before Good Friday.
The American Family Association said NBC canceled the segment after pressure from its affiliates and AFA.
But the network said its own description of the segment was a mistake.
In a memo to affiliates, NBC said "the information was mistakenly included in a press release describing an upcoming episode of 'Will and Grace' which, in fact, has yet to be written. The reference to 'Cruci-fixins' will not be in the show and the story line will not contain a Christian characterization at all."
"NBC wanting us to believe they were mistaken in describing the segment, that they didn't know what was in their own press release, just doesn't hold water," said AFA Chairman Donald E. Wildmon. "Plainly put, NBC heard from their affiliates that they did not want to go through another 'Book of Daniel' situation while losing millions in advertising avenue."
The appearance by Spears was billed as "her first prime-time television episodic appearance." However, she also appeared as herself in an episode of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" in 1999 and was the star of last summer's unscripted UPN show "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic."
As a young girl, Spears, now 24, was a regular on "The Mickey Mouse Club." After becoming a pop singer, she starred in the 2002 film "Crossroads."
Everyone better face the fact that we will have to continue being ever vigilant in fighting the Hollywood Christian bashers because they will NEVER go away.
To arms! To arms!
It should be the same way today.
:-p
Just wait. The next Times Magazine will have on it's cover, people complaining about these TV shows and the Muslims threatening to burn down cities and kill the Danes and it will be spun as the same thing.

You're so right, Demkicker~!!! It seems the only group the PC crowd feels it's open season to attack, are the Christians.
This morning, one of the cable news network shows, made a big deal of covering up the cartoon of the muslim leader and only showing the outside edges. Wonder if they fear the rath of the rioting muslims?
Zero tolerance is not necessarily a bad policy.
BTW Target can just dote on the queers, and not promote Christmas, and guess who doesn't go to our local Target anymore.
U.S. Constitution - Amendment I: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Hence the difference between Muslims and Christians.
In addition, we don't burn cars, stores, homes, attempt to invade embassies, etc.
NBC was caught with their hand in the cookie jar and try to claim that there was no jar.
Here here!!!
Caugth with their hands in the cookie jar, NBS claims "fake but accurate".
Lying liars. Why didn't Al Grinningidiot write about them???
So when they say "slay" those who insult Islam, they are saying that we aren't even fit to be kept as slaves seized in jihad.
Hmmm, something like that. :-)
Good news bump!
Spears' only claim to fame is that she has a nice backside. Now that she's yesterday's news, she has to whore herself out to tacky shows like Will and Grace to fund her baby mama drama with her house husband Kevin...soon to be ex-househusband.
Anyone notice how there have been no death threats or calls for beheadings from the "Christian street?"
Great post, Victoria!
Hi Scott. Thanks.
Quite a contrast, isn't it?
