Everyone, I just thought Id announce that tonight marks the 40th FReeptoon Ive drawn and posted. I dont know if that means anything, but Im sure its worth mentioning.
And now for tonights Dinklemeyer:
This is one of my favorites. Its very simple and efficient, yet its also sharp and funny. I also brings a name to the gym coach character (Stroganoff). He, the principal, and the bully both have been established as minor characters who make occasional appearances. He is VERY MUCH based on my own experiences with ridiculous sadistic and uncaring drill-sergeant-like coaches.
This strip is also important, however, within the context of the strips evolution. If you look at the entire notebook full of Dinklemeyer strips as a whole, united linear story, then this, my friends, is the sunset of Act I. The world has been introduced, the protagonist has been developed, and the worlds possibilities are being explored. The beginning is over. Now, starting with the next strip (to be run Tuesday), we will begin to meet new, funny characters and see the possibilities of where this world can go.
Or, if you dont take cartoons as seriously as I do, then you can just look at this as a silly, fun little doodle. Whichever you prefer.
Welcome aboard.
As I mentioned, the full archives is at the bottom of my home page.
Oh, well I must mention, I think it is insane as well. Not normal at all.
What happened in your school was terrible. Public schools in general are festering pits to dump kids into (I should know, I went to one). Although I've heard private schools aren't always paradises.
if they were cartoons it could. real "Cartoonmen" At the checkout at the walmart i picked up Hercules Against the Moonmen for a buck. Hey, I like your toons, keep it up. But it would be cool if we could fight the jihdists with toons like Herc and Popeye. With Merrymelodies handling the logistics of course. I must confess that I am really beginning to hate Islam...its so bloody boring and self absorbed...we should use the nuetron bomb and free the earth from these locusts. That or have Scoobydoo concoct a virgin trap that catches them all and then we put them on a bigbottlerocket and shoot them to the moon. just an idea.
HEHE, you don't see us Christians rioting when some secularist puts a crucifix in piss!!
I see that!!! :P
Hmmm...
I am very much into cartoon/animation history, and you are absolutely right.
Now that you mention it, most of the best cartoons from the WWII era featured Bugs Bunny or Popeye giving the country a morale boost. Popeye battling Japanese caricatures, for example. A lot of great anti-Hitler/fascist cartoons from Looney Tunes.
Some of them were even special-made by Warner Bros. for entertaining/educating the troops. Dr. Seuss, when he worked at the Termite Terrace, drew a cartoon series called "Private Snafu" about a bumbling US soldier who was always getting into trouble. Until a few years ago, they were restricted cartoons (not for civilian viewing).
No, with with all the anti-Christian junk we get from the MSM, we would have blown up the entire world by now.
"Bash Christ, love Mohammad"
I guess that's why the MSM, with shows like that "Book of Daniel" crud, loves to make fun of and mock Christianity. They know that with Islam, they could never get away with it.
You are now marked for death by muslims.
Scared?
Have a good night, I_T.
Yeah, that's pretty terrible. Even the "sharks" couldn't argue with that one...it being a 10 year-old girl and all.
I'm not too scared. So far, no threats or anything. And I"m sure there are people who draw things a lot worse than what I draw.
That sounds like an idea.
Anyone got an entry to show?
I didn't think you were.
Any luck on CM yet?
Yeah, I don't know if enough people read my stuff to be enraged me, LOL.
