Did anyone notice the ebonics correction last night on Hannity & Colmes? A black man was on to talk about how he opposed white organizations supporting black history month. He said something like "we're just givin' it to ya back." Then Hannity said "Giving it to you back? Is that what you said?" I was surprised to hear that on TV. You'd think Sharpton and Farrakhan would be in an uproar.
And then at the end, the guest held up the "black power" fist, but his hand was just offscreen. Hilarious.
Then Hannity said "Giving it to you back? Is that what you said?"
PRICELESS!
I believe that we, as a nation, are seeing the shift in the pendulum. PC is out. Liberalism is weakening. The court, after 40+ years of liberal activism, is returning to it's intended purpose. And the media, new media that is, is changing the way news is reported.
It is a fantastic day. We are blessed!
Hannity should've said, "'Scuse me, Holmes?"
Aside from the language garbage, I OBJECT. I never "gave it" to anyone.
Hannity should have said something like,
"What you jivin' me for, my man? You be talkin' no sense, no how! Cut me some slack, dude!
OBTW, Black History Month was first proclaimed by Congress in 1922, not 1969. I think it was Richard Pryor who said "And when they finally gave us our own month, it was the shortest month of the year!"
LOL!
The guy didn't have anything to say other than that. He couldn't even gain support from Alan Colmes. It was a pretty sad presentation if you ask me.
The guest seemed intellectually stunned by the National exposure, that's my guess because he never really made any points other than: "We don't need it!" and "We're giving it to you back."
I'll pay attention the fraud Black History Month when they start talking about life in Africa before coming to America.
Slavery existed for hundreds of years by Blacks themselves. Then, in 700 ad the Muslims came in and took over the slave trade.
On the other hand, I take it as a compliment every time I hear about little " Kenesha" being the first person in her family to graduate from grade school. It seems history for Blacks didn't begin until they hit these shores.
